Restaurant on the Agua Amarga beach, great patio with tables and chairs in front of the beach under a centenary tree that offer its fresh shadow during the lunch time. Fabulous staff attentive and eager to help. Excellent food with freshly cooked local ingredients. Price is adequate.

Agua Amarga is a very beautiful bay, with 4 scenic restaurants lining the beach. There are also various other bars and restaurants scattered throughout the village. Bar La Hoya is on the other side of the main road, but has cheaper drinks and more traditional Spanish tapas and food.

Got there on a fall day Sat. afternoon. Pretty busy but not full. No system visible to get a seat. Wait staff for about 16 tables. Inquired about getting sat. What? They acted like we were imposing on their busy schedule and should leave. Well, not a ton of other option in AA at this time of day. So we waited it out. It was challenging. Finally got to order. Finally got our order of a platter of fried fish. It was fried fish. Wow.

Restaurante de carretera, a 18 Km de Carboneras. Servicio de menús a 15 euros los fines de semana menos los sábados que no abren. El menú incluye 2 entrantes, un 1º plato, un 2º plato, postre, 1 bebida, pan y café. Gran surtido de comidas de carnes a la brasa, pescados y postres. Servicio rápido y muy atentos. Comedor pequeño. Recomendable reservar con dÃas de antelación.

We just wanted a light starters lunch and a beer. I chose the anchovies (this consisted on 2 anchovies stretched across a tablespoon of marinated red peppers...and my partner's tuna salad was a plate full of lettuce with a desertspoon of tuna! Simply not good enough. Yes, the setting and the open beach and seaview was to die for...however the feed was poor...and cost Eu.19.30. Go next door next time.

Stayed at Real La Joya and used the beach club facilities most days. There was always plenty of sun beds and towels available. It was spotlessly clean with a good selection of food and drinks. A barbecue was also available whilst we were there, which was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Anastasia.Dear Guest, thank you so much fo to share your opinion about our Beach Bar and your experience there with our place and food, we just open just some weeks ago and all that we wish is to add a diferent and friendly place with top quality in Agua Amarga Beach. Los taharis belongs to that very Spanish bar category called âchiringuito de playaâ, a bar by the beach which only objective was to provide drinks and some basic food to the beach clientele . Los taharis is definitely a flagship in this category. None of the food will win a Michelin nomination but they donât even try. The value is having a cold beer with a paella (you need to order in advance!!) while you dream about a swim in Agua Amarga beach. Service is fast and competent. Paella are not great but you can eat it. Try to get a table with views to the beach.

Agua Amarga was the first stop on our June 2016 road trip in Andalucia. Always buzzing with patrons ordering seafood, cervezas or a 'cortado en vaso,' this laid-back restaurant offers the quintessential small-town experience. While strolling through town it was easy to figure out this restaurant is the main hub of the town; its large outdoor plaza allowed for many tables in the shade or sun. The staff made us feel right at home - offering us a gratis Yierba drink after our lunch. We visited this restaurant four times during our stay in Agua Amarga; the outdoor seating, lively atmosphere, attentive staff (as well as the fresh seafood) kept beckoning us back.Definitely check this restaurant out if you're passing through or staying in Agua Amarga.

Were in Agua Amarga to get a little bit of Costa del Sol during our 2 week drive around Spain and perhaps see where the Ben Kingsley flick, Sexy Beast, from the early oughts was alleged filmed. Well, according to the NYC relocated owner, right up the street! And the next day I drove around I think I saw it but I can't be sure.Regardless, we were staying at a quiet resort a few KMs outside of town and ended up here for dinner. Great setting surrounding their outdoor pool-very romantic. Our starter of langostino puffs were tasty. My entree of a local fresh catch in a Greek based sauce and setting was somewhat bland-there was just something missing. And my wife did enjoy her seafood pasta entree-but again a bit reserved and underwhelming.In the end, I am guessing that they have a somewhat novice chef who is not ready to break out and go bold but I could be wrong.

Having been recommended another local restaurant and finding it closed we came across Aquamarga3 and were very pleased we did. We sat outside at simple tables next to a tiled walled village square. The waiters were really friendly and speak English if required. There is a three course menu del dia for â¬12. The waiter helpfully suggested âfish of the dayâ - sea bass or cod with ratatouille. The star of the meal was the octopus starter which had a lovely smoky, char grilled flavour, very tender and the best I have ever tasted. This is a pleasant place to sit for a leisurely lunch being in the centre of the village, a short walk from the beach. Puddings are not really a strength here as the choice is limited eg Carmel cake or a Magnum and we really had had enough more than enough without a dessert but were caught up in th enjoyment of our meal.Water, 2 bottles of wine, and 4 three course meals came to around £33 per person - not the cheapest for a simple restaurant but we did thoroughly enjoy our visit and would certainly return.
