We were recommended to this restaurant after complaining of no interesting places to eat in the area. It has only been open for 3 months but the owners clearly know what they are doing. Our steaks were grilled to perfection, the quinoa salad fill of crispy vegetables. Even the coffee was good. In short, we (two New York ladies) enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and our talking with the owner very much. Highly recommended for local and South American cuisine!

The food is very Uruguayan but with a lot of fish dishes too. The service is great and some waiters speak English too. The food is yummy and it is a nice setting for kids too. We have been back to this restaurant around 4 times, we like it. One improvement is that need to learn how to make good coffee, it tasted terrible and was soo small for the cost.

I have eaten numerous times here via the twice-monthly English-speakers meeting but also separately. The view is spectacular of the sea and the food good. It's rather rustic which fits with the beach side theme and if you are an English speaker you will struggle a bit but that will make you want to learn more Español.

Had been to this place when I was a kid when the trip to Punta del Este was an adventure rather than just a short drive as it is nowadays.Had good memories of the place and its food.I was not disappointed. The menu is simple, typical local cuisine ranging from excellent home made pasta to the typical milanesa. Fresh, well made and tasty.Excellent value for the money.Service was attentive, polite and efficient.Ambience is rustic and exactly as it was 50 years ago...Do I recommend it? yes indeed. Bear in mind its no fancy cuisine but a good taste of the local food.
