In my view, Da Alighiero should be the number one ranked restaurant in Anghiari on this site. They do everything right and exceeded our expectations in every way: friendly welcoming staff, warm & cozy ambiance, imaginative menu, a solid "wow factor" with every dish we were served, reasonable prices and very modest & appreciative owners (Sylvia & Giovanni). I couldn't help but overhear the positive rapport between the owners and staff signalling this must be a great place to work. There should be a line out the door of customers waiting to get inside here. Fabulous in every way!

We went for my birthday and had a range of really interesting food. I had a risotto with different types of berries which was amazing. The serves were very large! Staff were friendly

The fish menu of the day was outstanding , well balanced between cold and hot starters and with a delicious white fish as a main. Dessert were really good as well, especially the rice ice cream, an houseâs milestone, really difficult to find in other restaurants

We had a really romantic dinner with a warm atmosphere and excellent quality food.We ate fresh seafood combined with a nice local white wine. The waiting staff was very professional and the service impeccable.

Our family ate here with friends who live in Sansepolcro, so this restaurant was well known to them, and their choice.We ate outside on a lovely warm evening - a great treat for us Brits!My octopus starter was wonderful, and we all rated the restaurant highly. Traditional and modern selections from a big menu. Prices reasonable. Owner Maurizio is thoroughly pleasant and accommodating. Wait staff wonderful. You must try his self-proclaimed "unbelievable" apple pie and ice cream. Noteworthy! We have eaten there twice and are returning, notwithstanding that we'll be 40kms away.

Ate here on a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. Great location, varied menu, resasonably priced, all tasty, three for lunch including vino della casa about 75 euro. A highlight for me was the panacotta with chocolate sauce served by the very engaging and charming chef. Beautiful presentations. Definitely a go back. There is also a B&B attached. Next time I would consider eating outside at the street level although the dining room up one flight is very nice.

Every element of our experience at this place was excellent. The table was set with beautiful linen; the staff were warm and helpful; pasta had rich and interesting flavours with delicious porcini and a ricotta/walnut combination. Beef carpaccio was paired with generous shavings of black truffle. The wines by the glass were exceptional quality. Parfaits for dessert were imaginative flavours with the unforgettable almond, black sesame and coffee taking prize position. If you are in Sansepulcro this is an experience not to be missed. All at a very reasonable price too
