Had a wonderful meal and experience here. The owners are welcoming and so very charming! We didn't order from a menu, just went with whatever they brought out, and it was outstanding! Everything is gourmet, great flavors, fresh ingredients. Owner also asked what kind of wine we liked and chose that too - great taste! :) My colleagues and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Excellent overall!

I had a 3 course menu, the first course was alright (Shrimps in the oven) but the main course (chicken) was a disappointment, the chicken was dry and a bit overcooked, the dessert was nice but not something for which I would come back. This is a chain restaurant and we visited the one in Zwolle. The price-quality relationship leave something to be desired

We were lucky to have a reservation on a warm summerevening, when dinner was served at the terrace. The terrace, in front of the beautiful old building that houses the restaurant in the basement, right in the city center, is pleasant and spacious. Distance between tables is enough to guarantee some intimacy.Staff is very welcoming, professional and gives lots of explanations, both on the food and the wines.The menu consists of a reasonable choice of small plates or a menu of 10 small courses (33,50 euro) with vegetarian food, fish, meat and dessert. We opted for the last and were really happy about this choice. All courses were prepared in different ways, with different tasts (f.i. sweet/sour, hot, more traditional) and were nicely presented. The courses seemed small, but were, all in all, filling enough. The proposed wines were interesting and matching.We had a very enjoyable evening for a reasonable price. We can certainly recommend ZoXander.

It is a nice cosy litlle bistrot, with a nice atmosphere, In general the food is ok, but not as good as you expect, by reading the menu. To much oil, to far fried fries and potato croquets and missing ingredients... The 3-course menu and the "all you can eat" formula are not expensive, but they charge you for bread and water...

This restaurant is very easy to go to by car; it is next to the Maagjesbolwerk Q-Park which is close to exit 19 on the highway. The menu of the restaurant is good, so is the service. I liked the food and the whole setting. We were with a large group of 15 people, but this was the only large group and split into 2 tables in the corner of the restaurant. It is also good for smaller groupes (2-6) or business meals.

I chose to dine here while staying at the hotel. Very good ambience. Excellent service and very well cooked food. The restaurant was completely full ( around 100 -120)people but the service did not show that. The waiting staff were quick pleasant and very good at their jobs. My meal arrived after a short period and was cooked perfectly. Thanks for a great meal

We really enjoyed our dinner in the beautiful city center of Zwolle. We went for the chef's menu that is a very good value for the quality (a la carte is indeed more expensive): amazing presentation, original courses and tasty food. Amazing reataurant, friendly employees. Nice atmosphere: warm and cozy. The interior decoration is very nice and authentic. As for the food:The brie soup is very tasty and makes you feel perfectly warm when very cold outside. The steak i had is also Perfectly cooked and beautifully served. The bread they serve is also tasty. The only thing i did not like much are the olives served with the bread, they are a bit sweet. Cheese cake is really good. Before leaving they offered us some minted lozenges that are also nice. I would definitely come back when in Zwolle

Too many waiters who act if they are the client. They are telling "their story" instead of listening or feeling what the customer needs. Food: good fish but old school preparation. Too much butter, too greavy, so to heavy. Wine advise: story talking no interaction with the guest. The waiters think they have knowledge and under- estimate the guest.

Nice restaurant with pleasant atmosphere and stylish decor. Prices on the higher side but good in relation to the quality. We both tried a carpaccio as a starter. My wife had the version with lots of Parmezan cheese, I had the traditional version with Worcestershire sauce. Both excellent taste. Main courses vegetarian pasta with spinach for her, lemon chicken and large shrimps for me, both very fine and pure too. A good selection of fine wines makes the pleasure complete. Excellent!
