our Belgian friend recommended this restaurant for our Saturday evening meal. It was a little odd on entry reminding me of a kebab or fast food restaurant. However when seated upstairs it felt very much more upmarket. A tasty amuse bouche was followed by excellent main courses. My wife failed to finish her paella as there was too much, our friend had the lamb which was excellent and I had a perfectly cooked Chateaubriand. All accompanied by a good bottle of red wine. Excellent service and a reasonable bill for the high quality of food. I'd return.

We were disappointed at the rude reception, even though we speak fluent French and were told that we could only order 1 course, although other locals arriving at the same time were able to order the full 3 or 4 course meal. Dishes were only average, but service by the younger staff was more considerate, and in keeping of a restaurant with these pretensions.I would avoid this place. I was in the area with family on vacation and we stopped in Eijsden because it just seemed like an interesting little town, based on an intenet search. We made a reservation here, again, because of the reviews at various internet sites.We were not disappointed in this restaurant or Eijsden. Both the city and the restaurant are HIDDEN GEMS. The food was excellent, the views of Eijsden from the restaurant were great, and food was fairly reasonably priced (a little pricey, but to be expected from a nice restaurant in Holland.Why not a 5 rating - the service was VERY slow and unresponsive. My family were seated quickly, but were ignored by the wait staff for approximately 20 minutes. We almost left! The food took quite some time to arrive! Fortunately, the weather was nice and my family and I were seated at a table outside - so we enjoyed the experience.The experience was so lovely that I would return, again, and just anticipate slow service. In nice weather, sit outside. I so enjoyed Eijsden and this restaurant that my wife and I are planning a vacation in the area next summer so my wife can share in the experience.

Had an exceptional x-mas party with the social club, 50 persons present. The four course menu with accompanying wines were outstanding. The culinary and service level the owners accomplished would put many star restaurants to shame. A definite must if you are a foodie. Enjoy.

In this little and quiet village lies a nice restaurant. Itâs a little drive from Maastricht. If it is a sunny day you can use the terrace at the water. On the otherside of the water is Belgium. Relaxed atmoshere and friendly staff. Food and drinks are very good.

My first visit with friends to this superb new restaurant in Tilff. We received a very warm welcome from the personnel. Impeccably clean and the decor has a very light and cosy atmosphere. The service and food excellent in all aspects. Very refined menu and a 'no rush' attitude. There is a small garden patio at the back of the dining room which is agreeable to look at. Cannot fault this restaurant, my first visit but will definitely be back

Outside of the city of Maastricht is this beautiful castle. In the evening you are welcomed by a lot of candles lining the pathways to the castle nestled close to the marl caves. After an aperitive in the wine cellars, which I donât think is optimal for the wines, we had a menu in the restaurant. Good service and original with a lot of attention for the âmise en placeâ. Salmon with nori, garlic, quinoa and sambai started with a Japanese touch. Grouper in a Mediterranean way and duck with ras-el-hanout both followed before a chocolate delicacy completed the meal.Dear Maurits, Yes you can have a Conference meeting in a lot of unique locations but a ten minutes drive to our location and into another world is a chance you will find only in Maastricht. We really enjoy this restaurant and we go there regularly. The food is really good but the only problem sometimes, is that it can be quite noisy. It really depends on which table you are. Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant, but don't forget to reserve in advance. As it isn't big, it might be difficult to get a table on the last minute.
