We were staying in the neighbourhood and our hotelowner recommended this place. After a quick check online, we saw a message from Tripadvisor that there might be âfakeâ reviews.. This made me even more curious to try it for myself! We just got back from lunch at this lovely soda-like restaurant and most definitely enjoyed it! Most dishes consist of a bowl of patacones with awesome stuffings. Great big portions, friendly staff. They do not have English menuâs, but the staff can easily explain everything. (The pictures on the menu were helpful as well)Definitely recommended! Muchas Gracias Marcel, por su comentario tan excelente, su sinceridad y opinión tan Genuina. âLas cosas buenas quedan probadas por sus obrasâ y que bueno que no se dejó llevar por el comentario negativo que muestra la página, ya que es un mal entendido que esperamos pronto resolver con la plataforma. Great service, prices are fair for the quality of the food (which is quite nice!) Beautiful views, great background music! The place itself is quite welcoming and relaxing. The best that i have had on the way from SJ to Jaco/Hermosa. Recommended!

This restaurant offers a truly breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and the ocean. We stayed at Villa Caletas for a long weekend and enjoyed all of our meals here. The food was excellent, but what really sets this restaurant apart is the incredible service. Reiner Aronedas and his staff go out of their way to ensure that guests have a great experience. As an example, we were running late to catch a tour bus and didn't have time for a full breakfast, and Reiner was kind enough to pack us some muffins and coffees to go! Definitely five stars!

Very dissapointed as I try Chiveche almost everywhere I go in Costa Rica and this smelled so bad, I sent it back and we left. Try to be careful eating at Soda's and eateries along this Pacific Coast during "wet" season as the turn-over in people eating their food is not as busy as "dry" season and I found a couple of places with awesome chiveche and a place like this that I wouldn't want to eat and be sorry later.

Been coming to Jaco for some years. First time here and I wish we had come sooner. Without a doubt this is the best seafood we have ever had in Jaco. This place should be in the top ten restaurants not 47. Fresh , flavorful and served at the right temperature. Something you donât always have in Jaco . Go for the platter of mixed seafood with everything from lobster(and good size one for each person)to Pargo snd Dorado along with octopus, squids clams and shrimps .... perfectly broiled / sautéed in a light butter garlic all for a most reasonable price. The service from Hugo and others was attentive and the side choices were great. We loved the salad and the patacones

This restaurant is located right next to the bridge where you can see the crocodiles and several bird species. It is also across the street from some almond trees that are visited by Scarlet Macaws and some times may pose for pictures. The place is clean but busy so waiting for your meal could be a while if you are in a hurry. The menus has many options and each meal is really large compare to most other restaurants. They have great fresh fruit drinks and the staff is friendly. You can spend about $20 for two meals with drinks more or less. Keep your camera handy but also keep an eye on it. You can get better pictures across the street and down a driveway of the crocodiles and some iguanas and birds. Buen Provecho!

We came across this restaurant whilst driving out of Tarcoles and decided to stop for lunch. A wise choice. We had great seafood and sat outside undercover for a lovely meal.The fish and seafood we had was all very fresh and well cooked. Good efficient service too. Worth a try.

We were staying at Villa Lapas on All Inclusive but on our last night we decided to eat out and our guide recommended Vista Mar. Great restaurant, it was packed with locals (Valentine night) and had a special menu but we decided to just eat on the normal menu. I started with chicken caesar salad and my wife had Ceviche. Then I had chicken pasta which was very nice but not as good as the caesar salad. Limited choice if you don't like fish. My wife thought it was one of the best meals on our holiday. She also told me how go the margaritas were and she had a few!!

My wife and i were traveling to JRO, for our flight back to Denmark. We stoped for lunch, and were overwheled at the delicious food served in no time, and the enthusiasm of Elmez, Our host and his team. Deffenitely worth a stop. Highly recomend able. Hola!
