Reviews on Seafood food in Placencia, Stann Creek, Belize. Once a sleepy fishing village, Placencia has emerged as an increasingly popular eco-destination on the Caribbean. For those who enjoy outdoor adventure, the Stann Creek region offers a host of activities: hiking through mountainous rain forests, kayaking, deep sea fishing, diving and exploring Mayan ruins. The peninsula boasts 16 miles of tranquil beaches, with a lagoon to the west and the Caribbean to the east and lots of peace and quiet in the middle. Tour guides and dive centers offer a variety of excursions, with boat rides to the outer cayes an ongoing favorite. Also popular are guided land tours to Mayan Ruins or trekking the jungle trails of Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, where the first Jaguar Reserve in the world was established.

Live music and good drinks, however the service is lacking, no friendly nor fast bar service here. There's even some signs above the bar to remind you. It's on the beach, so it's not all bad.

Popped into Omarâs while exploring the town. It had come so highly recommended that we thought weâd give it a try. The place is BYOB (meaning they donât serve alcohol) and thereâs no cork fees. Be sure to ask whatâs available before combing the menu as some dishes were out of season. Overall tasty food, but poor service as the employees were more concerned w their own down time than tending to us.

Yrs the food was good. My wife has conch for the first time and enjoyed it. I had vegan cabbage rolls, one if the most innovative thing in the menu. I didn't see traditional belizian food. Or any locals. At the prices charged locals cantafford the place

Right on the beach in the heart of Placencia Village!!!!
The colorful tables and the quiet view during slow season make it a very relaxing meal. Coconut oil chicken stir fry. The chicken in Belize is non hormone, non GMO fed, non steroid pumped and you can really taste the difference. Barefoot will never win an award for in and out, but sometimes that it nice.

Very well decorated and nice restaurant. The menu had some great choices and what we ordered was delicious. The prices on the menu were right where they should be for a nicer restaurant. Definitely recommend it and worth checking out. We wanted to try the Korean BBQ but never got around to it... it sounded delicious.

Relax in our garden & enjoy our "Asia de Caribe" cuisine --- combining influences of Spanish, Caribbean and Creole Cuisine with Pan-Asian cooking and flavoring techniques. You'll want to experience our "Signature Stacked Ceviche" --Local Fresh Snapper Cev
In the middle of Placencia. You cannot beat the location. The food is very good and worth checking out. All tables are set outside and surrounded a next door to a house. It is not the best view or setting but the food is above average and priced decently.

Rumfish y vino is centrally located in the Placencia Village Square. Overlooking the ballfield has a festive and breezy atmosphere, and a cool ecclectic soundtrack. A GASTRO-BAR Central American style. From tapas & wine...to frosty draft beers & fish taco
Cute little spot in Placencia that offers tons of seafood options and some great drinks. The dragonfruit margarita was delicious!

Welcome to Mariposa Restaurant and Beach Suites Breakfast served all day, lunch and dinner. Known for the following specialty dishes; Eggs Benedict made with real hollandaise sauce and served with hash browns and fruit, French beef dips - shaved prime cut
We have been to Mariposa many times to enjoy their great daytime environment, lunch and their pool. But last night we finally fulfilled our desire to make our way there for dinner and we were so happy, ecstatic, and stuffed. The food, service, and atmosphere were phenomenal. Laru Beyaâs Placencia Belize restaurant and bar serves delicious meals and friendly service on a three-story wooden deck in an open air setting with splendid views of the infinity pool and Caribbean Sea. Staples of the Quarterdeck Restaurant include fresh
We went to this hotel for dinner one night and we enjoyed the food, presentation and service. The ambient was nice and relaxed. Pool in front and a nice backyard of trees and flowers on the side. Tables and chairs were comfortable and they had 3 levels above ground, which made it romantic and interesting. Not ideal for younger active kids, but staff of the restaurant was very accommodating and understanding. The way we were treated made a big difference! It was a big plus. The place is expensive but the food tasted wonderful and was well presented. The lobster tail I had came in a nice glass cup. The picture is in my instagram danuza.aquino if you want to see it. It made me very happy! I also like the manager of grounds. He took time to greed us and explain the plants plus show us around. It was a nice experience altogether. I heard people say great things about the hotel in general but we were there just for dinner.

We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our
We ate at Maya Bistro last night and it was a really lovely experience. Definitely more expensive than our lunch at a local food tent but so worth it. The combination of flavors was spot on and we got to sit right next to the beach with a strong breeze to keep us cool.We shared two appetizers and that was plenty of food. Then we finished our meal with a divine peanut butter brittle ice cream cake (the brittle was perfect, not too crunchy). There were a couple of cute strays that were begging at tables. My kid was entranced âºï¸My only peeve was that the vodka I drank left me with a debilitating hangover the next morning (one drink only). It was supposed to be Titoâs but may have been one of the cheaper local brands Our check came to $72BZD for two ($36USD)
