The main restaurant inside the Van der Valk Motel Assen is called 28 Dining, named after the highway A28 on which the motel is located. It is a very spacious and recently redecorated restaurant in faux seventies style. The food was pretty decent and did not take too long to come. Be careful to sit a bit out of airconditionings way.

Whilst we were in Assen we were taken to this restaurant the service was excellent and food food amazing prices can be a little more tha say run of the mill pizzas places but well worth it if your in Assen it's a must

For three days in a row, we have enjoyed the three-course menu served as part of a hotel reservation. The menu was different each time, but all of them had been prepared carefully, were original, very tasty and ... beautifully colorful. The vegetarian variant (for one of us) also was really great.The servants were all rather young, but all very professional and polite.The restaurant is located in the white, solemn frontal part of an old mansion with a distinct ambiance up to the smallest detail. Together with a nice view on the countryside --- what else could you possibly want?

Had s great meal with friends here recently and would highly recommend. I had the mustard soup which was delicious followed by the mixed grill which was plentiful and cooked exactly to my liking. Really enjoyed the food and the service and was reasonably priced.

Yume serves great sushi and grilled Japanese food in a very well organized all you can eat concept. Ordering using a tablet computer is very efficient and easy. A high quality dessert buffet is included. You have to be a bit careful not to accidentally order items with a surcharge. Not really needed with a great choice of items which are included in the base price.

I really shouldn't endorse this restaurant as I run the risk it's getting to famous :-) The food and ambiance is great, as a guest you 're treated as a guest not as a money machine. If you're lucky the boss will tell you stories about his hometown and country. It's great to be here.

We had the 6 course menu. With every course we were wondering, can it get better??? And yes, it can. Absolutely stunning food, a very modern take on haute cuisine using local ingredients. The food was light and interesting using different techniques The accompanying wine just ultimate the experience. The staff was polite and very professional. To meet the chef made this visit even more special. I will most certainly come back.

I had a Sunday Roast on - really - a Sunday evening and the food was great, although the roast itself was a rather small portion of meat,m greens and potaties. What a gem. Wonderful ambiance and decor. Elegant setting and brilliant helpful and friendly service. So - a really good start! The food (Michelin Star Standard) was divine. We chose the 5 âsurpriseâ courses with the associated wine flight. Some lovely textures and flavours superbly presented. Chef clearly knows what he is doing!Special mention of the wines they chose to complement each course - each one perfect and often unusual but another delight. This is probably one of the best reviews I have ever left and if I could score 6 I would. Really hope to be able to return.
