Its a little fish and seafood shack that looks inviting. The thing to watch out for is the waiter who is selling you the menu - bread with dips, shrimps in garlic oil and day's catch - before you have truly ordered it. The price of the fish is not indicated on the menu, neither the fish hence the bill is a true surprise. The shrimps were over cooked, the fish was ok. I would go to the restaurant los roques a bit further down the road given the choice again as reviews look much better.

Definately stick with the fish here, freshly caught. Starter (fish soup) was dissapointing (no real taste and fish), but the cod with prunes, onions etc was great. Great spot overlooking the sea and hearing the waves. Not exceptional food, but really local (did not see any tourists!)

The restaurant is a typical local sea food restaurant. Serves very large meals (my tuna steak was gigantic) for very little money. The staff is friendly and service was fine.

We were coming back from an abandoned shopping trip to Santa Cruz, due to the heavy rain there. Located just off the TF1 motorway Candelaria is a lovely place to visit. The restaurant/bar is located on the north side of the Plaza & looks across to the Basilica & it is located right next to the promenade, with its statues. There is covered (canopy) self selection seating, service is quick from a nice menu, with all the usual Canarian choices , there is a good range of international & local drinks available, all at very reasonable prices. The coffee is the best on the Island.The staff are very friendly & welcoming & we recommend this restaurant whether visiting just for a drink or for a meal. We will visit there next time we are in the areaThank you so much for your opinionWe are proud of our staff and really in love with our views.Hope you decide to visit us again :)Regards,

Even if I was expecting to find good fish in several places of Tenerife this was actually not not an easy task. Probably the only good place where I found tasty, fresh, local fish was this restaurant with a nice view on the sea. I will come back sooner or later.

Pulpo frita and all kind of shrimps were like poetry to me. So delicious! We went there because of beautiful smell of meals and the huge amount of local people in there. The intuition was correct, we've been there two more times pendant our stay on Tenerife

We have had lunch here twice: the first time by chance and we enjoyed it so much that we chose to return a couple of days later (unusual for us). Sea view, almost unique in the town. Sheltered terrace or interior with big picture windows. We tried 6 different dishes and we recommend any of them. Service friendly and efficient. Today we ordered 3 dishes, we were were asked if we were sharing, and so each dish arrived separately at well-timed intervals. Note this is definitely a restaurant as compared to some of the bar-cafeterias on the main square. Today's lunch: 3 raciones, bread and dips, 4 beers, 2 coffees (plus the usual chupitos) - â¬40, which we thought was great value.

This is a new upgraded restaurant for mass-produced food of much poorer quality than the original restaurant only very recently on this site. The restaurant is a victim of its own success and is the embodiment of the problems a good tripadvisor review can cause.Sadly this has gone from being my favourite restaurant to one that I would never want to return to and can no longer recommend :(Hello Leonardo. They don't have a menu so really it's best to just let them recommend something, that's what we did and everything was utterly delicious. We shared their specialty which is a mix of fish and shellfish in a flavoursome broth. Fish was served whole, beautifully fried, with crispy skin and juicy flesh. Great dish. We didn't know what dessert to get so just asked the owner to bring what he likes and ended up with a yummy banana mousse of some sort. Everything was fresh and tasty, there's an ocean view and everyone is really friendly. Highly recommended! Thank you!
