I stopped n Labor Day at the outside bar. It was very nice views of the reservoir and had a tropical like atmosphere. Lots of friendly people and servers. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend the outside bar because of the atmosphere!Hi, Norman! We really appreciate these compliments. Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed our view, atmosphere, service, and food! Thank you, also, for recommending our tiki bar. We have recently enclosed it with a clear, vinyl, heated tent, making it comfortable for year-round use! We hope to see you back at Shaggy's very soon!

We stopped in this past Friday evening thinking we could get a quick served hot meal and head to a high school ballgame across town. I knew something didn't look right when we ordered. About 4 people sitting bench waiting for their order and about 4 couples in dining area without any food. Yet, there was a ton of food in the warming trays ready to be served. The family next to us finally got there food but one persons plate was fish and they had ordered chicken. The lady at that tables turned to me and said, "if you want your food you will have to up there and make them give it to you, they will forget about you and never bring it ". I watched this same thing occur with 2 other tables of customers. I watched the 2 young ladies working behind the counter for 20 minutes. She was clueless to doing her job and stayed totally confused and never accomplished anything, tho there was plenty of prepared food ready to be placed into plates and sent out to waiting customers. She would start one task, screw it up, and never fix it. Then move on to something else and repeat another screwup. I got my refund and left before I lost my temper.

This place has many locations throughout the metro area. My favorite is the one out in the country, which I think was the original location near the Ross Barnett reservoir back waters (on the highway which connects Fannin and Canton- highway 43?). This one has a buffet that was tasty. The location on Old Fannin Road, I've only got to go orders there and was always pleased, but everything was fried, if I recall correctly. If you want Chicken on a Stick or Fried Catfish, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely the best Burger and some of the Best Pizza in the Metro area. The Cougar Comeback Burger is divine. Pizzas are huge and toppings are piled on. Great service and friendly local owners. Now they have a seafood shack that adjoins for picking up fresh seafood and crawfish. I have never had a bad experience there.

I went here expecting a hole in the wall to pick up some crawfish. When I pulled up I found a large parking lot full of cars, and an indoor outdoor eating area with patio style seating outside and large picnic style tables inside. Complete with bar. They also have other things to eat other than crawfish however I didn't peruse the menu as I was there for crawfish. I got mine to go that day but this looks like a good place to hang out weigh friends.

Two pounds of crawfish was more than enough for me. The seasoning was a bit on the spicy side. How to eat crawfish - twist off the head, suck out the brains, peel the tail and eat. Deeeelish!

My family and I were looking for a place to eat in Flowood and decided to try Half shell. We were very pleased with everything. New Orleans atmosphere, cajun cooking and great service. Our waitress Dorthea was attentive and prompt. Our 2 kids loved the food the food as much as we did. We will definitely return.
