From being greeted at the door the service was impeccable. Friendly and knowledgeable staff make up so much of the dining experience. Our group of portrait artists enjoyed every morsel from the marinated crab claws to the red snapper in a champagne reduction. Every item cooked to perfection by Ernest himself. Peaches Foster prepared tableside made for a delicious exit. Having the maitre d carry your doggie boxes to the car was a nice touch. I highly recommend Ernest’s Orleans restaurant for a meal to remember.

we had seafood gumbo, large was more than ample serving. it came with crackers , but you can purchase a large piece of homemade cornbread to go with it. It was cajun spicy with lots of shrimp and sausage in a louisiana roux. great service , very reasonable price friendly fast service and clean restrooms.

I have been to this particular Joes Crab Shack many times over the years. I used to LOVE the crab buckets and would normally get Dungeness crab. Now that’s not even an option. The flavoring was nonexistent (garlic) coupled with the queen crab seemed to be tougher than usual and the potatoes undercooked. I will give them another try next time I am close but also will be looking for a replacement seafood place.

I dined here on a Saturday night when it was fully booked with reservations. The hostess offered that we could eat in the bar immediately, so we did. Turned out to be a great choice. The bartender/server was excellent. I had the 7 oz filet, medium rare and it was cooked perfectly, and my potatoes au gratin were very good. They offer a bread basket with a variety of bread types and 3 different butters. All very good. My dining partner had a similar order and our bill with 2 drinks each came to $86, which was quite reasonable. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience, even though in the bar.

Picked this restaurant for lunch from Trip Advisor reviews. The food choice was amazing. The meals chosen were delicious and our waitress was fantastic. The only complaint is our food being served too fast. We received our salad then before we had even applied our dressing the main course was delivered to our. I prefer to have my salad first then the main course come afterwards. Most of us do. Not a big complaint, just a pet peeve of mine. Over all, all was great.

This place is really amazing. The historical decor number one. The staff is friendly and fast. Our server Brook kept coming back and making sure we were pleased and with a great smile on her face. My husband got a cup of etouffee to start. I was SO delicious and meaty and thick. I have the spice beef and pork meat pies. Oh so good. Especially with the zesty mustard sauce. We split a plate because in not a big eater. We had the shrimp and catfish plate with dirty rice. The portions were huge. What I mostly liked was how the this large shrimp was tender, tasty and with just a right amount of breading. The catfish was also impressively delicious. We washed it down with 2 ice cold Coronas. It made our evening. We were so stuffed. This will be our routine place to go when going to Shreveport.

Went on a weekday for lunch as part of the 318 special for the city. Ordered the 318 catfish sandwich special with cup of gumbo and fries. The fries were okay, but the other two items were simply uneatable. This was quite possibly the worst meal I have ever been served in a restaurant. The gumbo was a putrid mush of greenish material and the fish was cold and virtually tasteless and it looked horrible as well. My lady left the table and spoke in a low voice to our waitress before returning to the table to inform me that she had told the young lady that we simply couldn't eat the food and were going to leave. We exited the place in shock, not believing what was just served to us.John, I’m extremely sorry that you had a bad experience. It is certainly not what we usually hear and I’d like to see how we can make this up to you so please Email me at [email protected] and we will figure something out.
