Not the cheapest meal I've ever had but one of the bestShellfish platter followed by John Dory and strawberry tart. Perfect bottle of whiteService was excellent as was the location. If you come to Biarritz and don't eat here then you have truly missed out

Fantastic restaurant with a very traditional and cozy interior and very good food and wine. Plat de jour , Couscous, was only served for lunch but they arranged to serve us for dinner. It tasted delicious. Their Pizza is also great. Nice prices. We had managed to close our self out of our residence and asked the manager if she knew anyone who could help us. The restaurant was fully booked but she called a few phone calls and helped us solve our problem . The staff went over the edge to help us in this problem.

We started off here with a couple of drinks and on seeing the different dishes coming out, decided to have dinner here. There are mixed reviews about the food however our experience was good. The portions are large and freshly cooked, the set menus are excellent value. Staff were attentive and friendly and we enjoyed a pleasant couple of hours here. Recommended.

Hip small place with great atmosphere. Food is awesome. We ate:Razor clams on salad of fennel and mynt etc.Oyster on half shell with hollandaise on salad with vinaigrette etc.Whole lobster grilled with salad / goji berries and a vinaigrette etc.Moscow muleWasabi gin and tonicBloody mary (Read BarnsleyHarrys review about this and he was right...great)â¬132 plus $18 tip.Everything fresh and and well executed. We didn't come for elegance or refinement. We came for fresh fish, deliciously prepared, and that is what we got. Just keep in mind, there are absolutely no vegetables of any kind, the bread is thinly sliced and dark brown and you have to ask for it, and the setting it a street with multiple other crowded little restaurants lining it, so the atmosphere is great. As mentioned by someone else, the calamari is outstanding. The sauce it came in was superb. The mussels were also delicious and saturated in butter and garlic, small and tasty mussels perfectly cooked. The large shrimp were also excellent, and you get 5 large ones per order. We didn't care for the razor clams although they were quite popular as a dish. They tasted like lobster but were on the rubbery side. Nice sized portions, which was a plus. The bottle of bordeaux was decent. Coming early helps as this is a popular place and it does not take reservations. Tables line the street outside in good weather and the photo above shows a small interior room. So fish is what you can have here, with nothing else on the menu at all. Perfect for a tapas bar, which is why I gave it a 5 star rating for what it is.

Thank you Eric and Jackie for a wonderful evening, merci. We have thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and it is right up there with the best meals we have had. This is a very nice restaurant, with a discreet atmosphere and wonderful food. Smoked fish at its best. Nest time we visit the area we will definitely go back!
