Great hotel, great food, very fair prices. Great for kids. The owners thought about all details to ensure you enjoy your stay there. Warm, very pleasant pool, saunas, jacuzzi... Quality ski equipment... Will go there again :)

Ate dinner at this restaurant within the Parkhotel in Matrei. The menu had local dishes. They have a lovely terrace at the back and a well stocked salad bar. I can highly recommend the Fiakergulasch. It was a lovely Gulash with bread dumplings and an extra sausage. The prices were very reasonable and they had a nice wine selection as well. The service was very friendly, even when busy. Spent a week in the area and visited the Dorf nightly. Its the same people who own Herr Klaus restaurant upstairs. Very friendly and accommodating bar staff who speak excellent english. It was off season, so only one section of the Dorf is open. It has three completely different style bars. A wine/modern deco bar (main one) An american diner style bar and a traditional english style pub in the back.They play sport on the tvs and the pub has a pool table. I will be back!

Die Cocktails schmecken fantastisch und haben faire Preise. Das Lokal ist sehr gemütlich, man kann sich gut unterhalten, da die Musik nicht zu laut ist. So ein Lokal hat es in Steinach unbedingt wieder benötigt. Lounge Reverze ist eine Bereicherung für das Wipptal und immer wieder einen Besuch wert.

A friendly Restaurant with a well catered for Menu, I Had the Lamb cutlets with roasted potatoes and my wife had Grilled Calamari, we were both delighted with our choice and the same goes for the house red wine which was Zweigelt. For Pizza friends there were 35 different Pizzas, Pasta menu catered for everyone. The other items on the menu included Fish platter for 2, Mixed grill, Wiener schnitzel and Cordon Bleu etc. The choice was excellent.

We were a group of 21 staying here on a dinner b/b basis. The breakfast was fine, the usual mix of cold meats, cheese, cereals, yogurt and breads. Our evening meals were 4 courses, starting with a selection of salads, then soups (creamy usually and rather similar) then mains either fish, meat or veggie. Quality was fine really, not top notch but country fare and somedays better than others. Puddings were lovely too.No complaints except the flies buzzing round were a nuisance but you get that in the country.
