Liberty Bar and Restaurant is a very large and unassuming establishment. It has a beautiful, large bar (in an L shape it covers 2 sides of the restaurant), but otherwise the booths and tables are basic. The inventory of spirits is quite large and contains many finer offerings. The house specialties are all well thought out--from the fresh ingredients, the ratios, the glass type, garnishes and type of ice. The bartenders are knowledgeable and willing to mix something special based on your tastes. The food is locally sourced and the menu is innovative. We have never had a bad meal or drink there. My only complaint is that the smoking area is off the front of the building so that you must walk past it to enter. I am really sensitive to smoke and that is not how I like to start my drinks or meal.

As a large group, 23, it can be difficult to satisfy everyone but this establishment managed. With some advanced planning (notify ahead) there was sufficient staff to be sure the group was served together and orders were prepared as requested Appetizers and everything from salads to prime steak and lobster were served, all done to order and no mistakes. Individual checks were provided ( expense accounts! ) The wait staff was young and enthusiasticPrices were reasonable.

We stopped in the other night for dinner and that'll be the one and only time. There was a gathering of some sort that was finishing up with a buffet and three of the four servers on duty were standing around waiting for the party to clear out so they could put the buffet away apparently? Our server, who was the one running the other three tables in the restaurant didn't come over for over ten minutes (strike 1). Look, I was a server...I get it. But the place was dead, she wasn't overwhelmed, and if she WAS for some strange reason feeling overwhelmed, you'd think she'd have one of the other very clearly available servers take a break from their cell phones to stop over and ask us if we at least wanted something to drink? Nope. Also, what seemed like the entire kitchen staff was standing idly behind the bar and more than one of them made eye contact with me more than once. They also all knew we had been sitting there this whole time with no contact (strike 2). Server finally came, and she was nice. Not friendly, but nice. No apologies for the long wait (strike 3). We ordered. She brought mediocre food (veggie patty completely fell apart which unfortunately isn't that uncommon but after the bad beginning it just didn't help things). My skillet pasta was fine. Server didn't stop back to ask if we wanted more drinks or if everything was tasting ok (strikes 4, 5...). We gave up after that. Paid our bill, still left a decent tip because that's just what you do, and left to never return. Skip this one.Thank you for the review Amberzo. I do apologize for your recent visit. Great little family run pub. Probably 30+ beers and ciders on tap. Husband and wife owners are really sweet and the food is excellent. Great addition to the North side of town.

Theyâre are fresh, plump oysters prepared different ways. The grilled grouper is very fine. For vegetarians, what seems to be a Boca Burger is grilled to make it much taster. There is trivia at least one night and music and comedy. There are picnic tables in a covered area in front for outdoor inning.
