Shan State borders China to the north, Laos to the east, and Thailand to the south, and five administrative divisions of Burma in the west. Largest of the 14 administrative divisions by land area, Shan State covers 155,800 km², almost a quarter of the total area of Burma. The state gets its name from the Shan people, one of several ethnic groups that inhabit the area. Shan State is largely rural, with only three cities of significant size: Lashio, Kengtung, and the capital, Taunggyi. Taunggyi is 150.7 km north east of the nation's capital Naypyitaw.

The daily night market is not only a good place for a nice dinner but in the corner you will find this place that serves the best cocktail at razor sharp prices. I highly recommend you try the rum sour to enhance the party vibe. You wonât regret it! I went to this restaurant with my local friend in Kalaw and found it really interesting. It's such a charming place with great atmosphere. Super delicious food and the staffs are friendly. Nice place with excellent coffee (local coffee beans). We ate three salads and enjoyed them very much. We were alone on the roof, so we had to call the waitress from the floor downstairs. A beautiful place to sit in the sunsetSorry for a late reply. Stopped here for lunch on our first day in Inle Lake. I ordered a beef curry and tea leaf salad, my wife had the local fish. Split large Myanmar beer. We sat on the roof overlooking the town, and just enjoyed the heck out of our food. The bill didn't hurt, either - about $9. My wife kept going on about her fish, so we made our way back - she got her fish, I ordered pork. Delicious again. Go here, you'll love it.

This place is the only nighlife place in Nyaungshwe. 3 floors including roof top with pétanque game field, amazing decoration, exceptional food & cocktails, entertaining games, great management team (thanks to Cedric and Jean-Luc, the new manager).The place to be if you want to party in Nyaungshwe and have a great dinner.You will meet locals and tourists which is not the case of most bars & restaurants here.Will defitly go there again!!!
