This is mine and my husbands favorite place for dinner when we come to Hampton Beach, it’s on the second floor and overlooks the ocean and boulevard. It can get crowded and sometimes the live music in unbearable coming from across the street, but oh well! They have some great crab stuffed haddock! And their fish and chips are pretty amazing too! Recommend the tidal wave and puff the magic dragon!

Received appalling service at this restaurant. Came here with my girlfriend from PA for brunch and she had her ID confiscated on suspicion that it was fake when she tried to order a coffee with baileys. The manager treated us rudely and with condescension. He threw us out and we weren't given an opportunity to provide a second form of ID. We had to get a POLICE OFFICER involved to get her legal, government-issued ID back. My email to the owner has gone unanswered as well. If you are from out of state, maybe skip the hassle and don't go here. I know myself, as well as my friends and family in NH won't be.

We had been traveling the area around Portsmouth with our dogs and were so happy we found this place! We started out with the pretzels-- AMAZING! We even asked to keep the remaining dips to dip our truffle fries that came with the Smutt burger into. The Smutt burger was delicious and the truffle fries were to die for! You will not be disappointed in ordering these items! If I ever make it back to Portsmouth, I will definitely be returning here!

Such a quaint and welcoming restaurant! Neither my friend or I had been there before so we both wanted to check it out! They had barely opened for business when we arrived around noon. The waitress was pleasant and welcoming. She said their specialty was the lump crab cakes and crab soup with a tomato base. After perusing the lunch menu items I decided to order the crab cake as well as the crab soup and I wasn’t disappointed in any way. The lump crab cake was indeed filled with lump crab meat will very little filler and just the right spice. It was the size of a burger and absolutely delicious. Served on a brioce bun with lettuce and tomatoe. The crab soup was delicious as well and resembled a gumbo! I would order it again and again. My friend had the French dip with Anjou and served with homemade French fries. It was quite large in a sub roll topped with caramelized onions. It was enough for 2! Their was a large bar area separate from the dining room which had a fireplace and tables as well. Definitely would highly recommend!

Don't find much these days to write home about, but Barley's was very good and a pleasant surprise. Nice Decor, lots of specials, great service and the food was excellent and creative. Their hamburger grilled in peppercorn and served with whiskey gravy, blue cheese, micro onion rings, lettuce and tomato was worth the price. Came with great fries. The haddock Chowder was excellent but different. Very thick and creamy, lots of fish, lots of bacon and potatoes. Ate 1/2 a bowl, took the rest home to thin out as left overs. Waitress even checked in with us a few time to see if we needed anything.

Logan's Run

We have been to Logans Run a number of times and also order take out via Gofer regularly. Their employees are very friendly and always make us feel welcome. We've never sat in the bar but the dining room is comfortable and quiet most nights. The menu is very large and with the amount we have eaten here I have a few favorites. Their Mac and Cheese is extremely savory and comforting. When we are ordering in food this is always my go to. I also think their buffalo chicken is the best in Hampton whether it be on the Buffalo Chicken Salad (which I have pictured) or their Buffalo Sandwich. I could write about all of the other wonderful foods offered at Logans Run but I will let you the reader try it for yourself.Thank you so much for your review!! We are so glad you always enjoy your visit with us at Logan’s. We hope to see you again soon and again appreciate your business and the time you took to share your experience.
