We went here for Sunday brunch with our son and daughter-in-law.we all had the Sunday brunch which was a buffet style along with omelette station and a meat carving station. The array of food at the buffet was impressive, the bloody Mary's were just right.The food offerings at backwater bills continues to improve, although we will have to see the dining area expand is the community continues to grow.

Cheap Seats in Bluffton never disappoints. I have visited on many occasions, and have also utilized their delivery service. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. A few days ago, Ryan promptly delivered 2 delicious pizzas that arrived when they said they would. We visited last night and listened to Fishwhistle, a local funky band who were playing outside. Just a fabulous vibe. Family friendly, great outside space with picnic tables and a stage for entertainment. I recommend Cheap Seats without hesitation.

Local tavern just off route278 slightly past Havertys. Went to eat with some neighbors who had been here before. Basic Irish bar that you could find in the metro NYC/NJ or New England areas. Good corner beef, burgers, sandwiches, soup etc. Multiple tv's on and around the place. Good place for a bite to eat and a drink.

First of all, the hours listed on TripAdvisor are wrong. We went for lunch on a Wednesday and it was open.The beer was great. Good selection, all very flavorful and different. Something for everyone. The food was pretty darn good, but the portions were very small for the price on some of the dishes (specifically the tacos). Everyone who got a sandwich had plenty to eat. And the service was slow the day we were there, which may have been because it was the middle of a weekday. On the whole, a good experience, though!

Two of our great friends suggested that we go to R Bar & Grill because it was so good. They were definately right. My wife had the chicken tenders, and I had a 1/2 pound burger. Both, very good. For her side she had the Mac n cheese, and I ordered the slaw. But because I felt that there would not be much to eat with just the slaw, I also order french fries. Boy, was I wrong in doing that! The slaw was delicious and was about 4 times the amount that you normally get. The fries were enought to feed 3 of us, and looked and tasted like what my mom used to make for us when I was a kid (now 74), And the service, just great.Liked the place so much that we are going back tonight. However, I am getting the Mac n Cheese; it was outstanding.Don't go into the place if you are already feeling a buzz though, the owner will kick you out.

Love this smaller restaurant with a great bar area and table service. We ate here twice during our recent visit to Bluffton, both dinners were excellent with good, but not too much, portions. We had a variety of meals, salads, sandwiches, and plated dinners. All offerings were very tasty. They also have a nice selection of draft beer. Service is friendly and efficient.

On recent trip we drove east through SC, wanted a lunch stop and this place filled the bill nicely. Sat outside, it was warm but pleasant and we shared a featured Panini. It was a Cuban with southern twist of bbq pulled pork. Came with order of good, well done (as requested) fries. A few beverages, some ok service along with chitchat and we were on our way. This is a family friendly place in the quaint town of Old Bluffton. I was pleasantly surprised by how yummy my Thai shrimp patty was. Chunks of perfectly cooked shrimp and great flavor. Blue cheese burgers were also very good. We selected a couple of great local beers too. We were a bit full for dessert but walked around town and came back for their ice cream. It was amazing. Unique flavor options and they got the standard flavors right too. Service was efficient and friendly. We were there at an off time - mid afternoon. And we have been here in the past, we have had a great time, whether we are seated at the bar or at a table. Service was always good even when it is overflowing and crowded. We stopped here several weeks ago, there was not a lot of people there. We waited at the hostess station to be seated, nobody showed up, so we decided to stay in the bar area and just sit at a hightop. As soon as we sat down, then the hostess shows up and tells us that we need to be seated by a hostess, so we asked her do we need to move and she said no but you need to go through the hostess. Well letâs try to find a hostess next time. We asked if there was table service, she said yes. Thatâs not happening either. After waiting what seemed like 10 minutes, I got up and went to the bar and ordered several drinks to bring back to our hightop table. Now remember, we are here in July. The air conditioning was not working good and it was relatively warm in the bar area. The door was not opening and closing they were very few people coming in or leaving. All throughout the time that we had our drink, still no server showed up to the table. As it was too warm to stay here, we finished our drink and left after paying. Very disappointing.

Usually good food & service but not today. No one available to seat me so I seated myself & waited 10 minutes before I had to flag down a waitress. Since the bar & high top tables were occupied, I sat down at the first table nearby. Even though it was all one room, I had forfeited my rights to happy hour prices from the bar. I was on the wrong side of a small partition. I ordered the $9.99 fish n chips special which was advertised in bold letters. I was politely informed that that price was only available for lunch. I had neglected to notice the fine print in the upper right hand corner, so I paid $13.99. Overall it was not a pleasant dining experience.
