We needed to refuel our bikes, so we pulled into the Caltex site on the outskirts of Bergville town. I asked the petrol attendant where we could get some lunch and he said the only place was Maxis, on the same site, so I wasn't expecting much. To my surprise, the cheese burger was one of the best burgers I have had, really great. This is a worthwhile refuel for motor, motorcycle and mouth .

The Bridge Lodge

Considering the prices of most B&B establishments in the area, the Bridge Lodge offers modern, clean but simple rooms at reasonable rates. The separate bar and restaurant offer good food at reasonable prices so would recommend this establishment as a quick stop over for business or holiday

After nearly not finding this place due to GPS issues, thankfully we did. Wow, the view was amazing. We were greeted with a huge smile by our waiter and he was quick with the drinks. When ordering food he made suggestions which we took and we were not sorry. Food was delicious... can recommend the burgers and prawns. The owner came to check in on us and overall we had such a pleasant afternoon. More people should know about this place, a definite lunch stop if you in the area. ps. The pink gin was yummmmyyy.
