The restaurant "A Canoa", which means "The canoe", is located in the port, on the edge of the "Preguiças" river, downtown of the city.The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere that combines a lot with the city of "Barreirinhas".The waiters are attentive and polite.The food is excellent.I highlight here the shrimp in the pineapple. It's delicious!We ordered the shrimp on the pineapple for two. In the first half came a creamy shrimp and in the second half a creamy rice (kind of risotto), both covered with gratin cheese. The dish was well presented and very, very tasty!In the evening the restaurant uses the structure of the jetty, putting outdoor tables.Right next door there is a local handicraft gallery that completes the visit.

We were lucky to stay at a nearby "Pousada" at Atins! This restaurant has great options for dinner (I`ve tried the picanha and the ribs on barbecue, both were delicious and the portions are large enough for 2 hungry people after a large kitesurfing day). Props for the high quality homemade beer! Thus the service, the music and the place are all excellent!

Sabe como é, tem lugares que entramos e nos sentimos em casa, não na nossa casa, mas na casa de alguém que sem qualquer frescura te oferece aquilo que faz de melhor sem tentar ser o que não é. O restaurante da Néia (e do Taylor) é exatamente assim, um espaço simples, com comida caseira e preço justo, o que em Atins é raridade. Portanto, esqueça dos pratos com nomes incompreensÃveis e ingredientes que vem de longe, escolha arroz, feijão, farofa e peixe frito (talvez uma saladinha), acompanhe com uma caipirinha e não esqueça de perguntar pelo sorvete caseiro (o que tiver no dia). O resultado é garantido e você terá certeza que a casa da Néia e do Taylor é o melhor lugar de Atins para quem quer comer como se estivesse em uma casa de Atins.
