This is such a charming little authentic italian restaurant. Greeted by very friendly staff - we booked a table in advance and I would definitely recommend doing that as it became full pretty quickly after we were seated. Excellent menu choice including specials - all sounded yummy. I opted for the seafood pasta which I have to say is the best I have ever eaten - plenty of mussels, large prawns and chuncky pieces of fish all in a delicious tomato and garlic sauce. Others had pizza which looked equally as good.Wine choice, although limited, was good quality at reasonable prices.All in all an excellent meal in nice cosy setting with knowledgable and friendly staff.

Luckily the chain restaurant across the road was full so we thought weâd try here. Very happy about that.Super welcome, big portions of freshly cooked traditional Italian pastas and pizzas.There is a surprisingly wide choice on the menu, with a few specials and something for everyone.Loved the calamari starter, pasta mains were quite big portions and delicious. Vegetarian options a plenty.We didnât feel rushed, the coffee was top notch, and the team of staff were keeping the restaurant clean and tidy.We will be very happy to come back

Not the first time we have visited this restaurant. We had the two course special. Spoilt for choice as there were plenty of options from pasta to pizzas. Service was great and the food was delicious and good value. Really enjoyed it. Only drawback is this place can get quite busy so you may have to go upstairs. Despite this this place is worth the effort. Will certainly go back.

Nice little restaurant on Claypath. Good menu.Chose the fiery king prawns on Mexican rice and the hanging kebabs. Decent portions and very fresh. Garlic bread wasnât really âbreadâ however, it was a pizza base and not that great.Decent cocktails. Reasonable service.

Does exactly what it says above the door. If you want pizza and live in the Spennymoor area this is the best place to go. Toppings list is huge, good prices and special meal deals with friendly staff. Also does a wicked kebab. Well worth a visit.

Visited yesterday, ordered food, then when waiting started to look around at the cooking /food preparation area. It was filthy with visible mouse droppings. I asked what food hygiene rating the premises had. This simple question was met with a barrage and tirade of abuse from the owner. He accused me of being racist, which is quite funny because my girlfriend is black african. He accused me of being drunk, I had consumed two pints. He would not answer the simple question regarding his hygiene rating, I pointed out the disgusting state of the premises, got my money back and left. I have by email, reported the premises to Durham Council Environmental Health requesting an urgent visit. Avoid unless you want food poisoning!!!!

Friendly welcome and good service. Restaurant very noisy (busy night I guess). Tables closely arranged so not much space between neighbouring guests.Restaurant advertises itself as offering 'authentic Italian food' - not to my mind. Our meals were bland in taste. Pizza dough very heavy. Pasta fillings meagre. Sauces on meat under seasoned..First visit. Probably will not return.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from friends. We love making our own foods and also eating out. We have eaten out at many different types of restaurants and have also made many styles of food ourselves.Never having been to this restaurant we thought we would try out their cusine. Probably one of the worst meals we tried out. We ordered a Cannoli and a Lasange with a garlic bread with cheese and some onion rings.The Cannonli texture was that of a pancake rolled around unseasoned mince and onions with a can of raw tomatos and cheese tosses over it and baked. Absoultely tasteless. The same for the Lasange. The pasta was wet and stoggy and the same mine and onion mixute as the Cannoli. No herbs, no garlic, no seasoning ,no taste.The garlic bread was a little more edible, however if it saw much more than a rub of garlic I would be surprised. It garlic bread which was a pizza had a soggy bottom. The onion rings were nicely cooked, but a little oily. We normally would eat our meals even if it was not up to our own standard, but truely we had to leave this meal. Then to add insult to injury we went to pay the bill with a debit card to be told at the till NO CARDS ALLOWED. What!!!!! in this day and age. What sort of establishment does not accept any cards? Where does it tell you this before you go into the restaurant? You don't know they only accept cash until you pay your bill. Just as well we had cash with us. Can you imagine the embarrassment. So diners -be warned.
