What a great find. Went here as wanted an early dinner instead of 8pm or later standard.Looks from outside very unpretentious but when you walk in totally different. Very large dining area with simple furniture.Food was great especially the bean soup.Inexpensive and what a novel way of giving you your bill in a music box. Very cuteWould certainly come back

We often go here for a pizza in the evening or a bowl of pasta at lunch and have never been disappointed.We have tried their starter plates of meats and cheeses, their pasta, pizza's and their cooked meats. The food is always fresh and delicious and very good value.Friendly service and nice atmosphere.It's much bigger inside than it looks from the outside.

We've been here a few times, and it's always great. This time, we had pizza with the local ventricina, and the chitarra pasta with a tasty ragu. The service was as friendly and helpful as ever. The waiter was very knowledgeable about all the wonderful local wines you can get in this part of Italy. The atmosphere is casual and family friendly but a couple could go for a romantic dinner. The lighting is nice and gentle too.

Davvero faccio fatica a capire come mai questo locale non sia in cima alla classifica delle pizzerie....vabbe' che i gusti sono gusti ma qui ci troviamo di fronte ad una signora pizza e complessivamente a un signor locale. Personale di una gentilezza unica. Pizza, fritti e anche i dolci buonissimi. Ovviamente menzione particolare va alla pizza che ha poco da invidiare a tante blasonate pizzerie napoletane.Infine un conto che ti fa uscire dal locale col sorriso e ancor di più soddisfatto. Bellissima scoperta...continuate così...

This was our first time eating in this restaurant which seems to be in the middle of nowhere but it is well worth the short drive. I hope that our future experiences here will live up to the first. The meat and vegetables are of excellent quality, the desserts very creative and delicious, a good selection of wine (we very much enjoyed a local wine called Pollutro from 2013), and the servers are capable and knowledgeable. The pizza is quite good although it isn't the best I've ever eaten. You really get the feeling that the owner (who is always busy behind the meat counter) is passionate about good food and good service. In the autumn the aroma of wood-fired ovens creates the perfect atmosphere for a hearty meal with friends. Family-friendly and reasonably priced. This is not a sophisticated or gourmet restaurant but I would choose it any day over the majority of restaurants in neighboring Vasto... They have a lot of work to do if they want to compete with the quality at Dalla Padella alla Brace!

We spend a couple of weeks in casalbordino every summer, but would never have found this little local and familyrun restaurant if not recommended by some italian friends. Wonderful authentic food, made from the catch of the day- sometimes not everything in the meny is availible ( good sign) Almost all courses is priced at 5 ⬠wich is a fantastic price for this kind of food. The restaurant is run by an entire family ( either the grandmother, or the father is chef of the day) and collaburates with local producers of vegetables, oil and wine. You must try the cozze ripiene and also ask for a piece of ventricina with your antipasti you havn't tried it before. The Zinni tenuta makes wonderful white wines that fits perfect with fishdishes! Only reason to 4 and not 5 stars is that the service is very slow, would be nice with a glass of something when you look at the meny ( but maybe I just have to get used to that things move a little slower in Italy) I'll be back next year!

Pizza,sfogliata,pane fritto, gnocco fritto, tarallucci... Tutto ottimo! Ambiente simpatico, pulito e modi molto gentili. Veloci nel servizio. Ambiente familiare. Ci torniamo ogni anno, da 25 anni come famiglia e da prima come giovani vacanzieri. Lo preferiamo anche per i prezzi accessibili.

We were actually going to Bar Exit but when we got there it was closed. This was such a lucky find. Really friendly helpful service despite the language barrier! The menu has English translations too. The fries were amazing and pizza even better. Highly recommend the Il Lupo Rosso pizza special ... GREAT!

Order some honest, regional food like the 'ndrucioloni allo castratto or a fresh pizza from the oven. They also serve lumache (snails) when it's on season. They also have ventricina, the local, award-winning salumi. All and all, great value for money.

Let's make one thing clear at the start - there are no Michelin stars at the door, no fancy décor (i.e. tourist stage set), no pretences... Just a very large restaurant with several rooms, clean, airy, deceptively ordinary - oh, yes, with a sleepy dog outside. It makes you wonder how such an establishment can survive in a small, rural, setting. That is, until you taste the food and, on days local families celebrate or just dine out, see it full, obligatory television in the corner silenced, kids running around, chatter, laughter everywhere.Restaurant is run by Katiya (her father created it) and if you are minded to talk to the chef, you'll be addressing her Mamma...We all read stories, fairy tales, hype about "Italian Mamma's food" - and here it is, it really exists, it is in front of you!!! Nothing complicated, just best quality, treated with respect it deserves - and a lot of skill acquired through heritage, experience and love. Results are fairy-tale, comforting, addictive... And if something is off the (admittedly oversized!) carte - you're almost certainly in luck, as the suggested substitute will usually surprise and delight you.Service is friendly and efficient; natural, as you would expect to be treated when visiting friends or family. After two-three visits, when you come to know the place, you will almost certainly trust Katiya to compose the full meal for you, including wine...Prices are so reasonable it almost makes you feel guilty...This is how I imagine a restaurant ought to be - worth a detour!
