Had dinner with about 30 for a work outing. Better than expected. Food was great. Steak was prepared perfectly with really tasty potatoes and mushrooms. Appetizer flat breads were really good. Service great too. One of the better dinners in an atmosphere like that. All good.

Whether it's pizza (outstanding), pasta or the fish fry, we've always enjoyed our dinners. This time, we went with several friends and had the fish fry, lasagna, two pizzas and their version of pasta al olio. Everyone thought what they had was excellent.My husband thought his al olio was one of the best he'd ever had. He ordered it with prosciutto for an extra kick. And he ordered extra garlic, too. No one was able to finish their meal other than the fish fry lovers. And they were full after their first order.Our server messed up our drinks a couple times, so that wasn't good but other than that, it was top notch.

We dropped in with an acquaintance for dinner after the first place we picked was found to be closed for a private party. Bummer.We dropped in, and got a table by the window on a cold January evening. The snow was flying outside, but we were warm and comfortable inside.The business was kind of slow, but it was a Monday so what do you expect? We sat down and went over their beer menu, settling on their Scottish Pint, a Black Walnut Pint, and a Root Beer (driver).We started with two of their pretzels (Tip: Ask for mustard to go with the pretzels!). They have three, and we tried their salted pretzel which went great with the mustard, and their Jalapeno pretzel, which was filled with Jalapeno cheese. Both were good, and went down quickly with the beer.For the main course, we ordered their Garden Pizza. It has a crisp and very thin crust, and was good. It would have benefited from some additional seasoning - with all the toppings, it really needed salt or something (capers?) to really snap some flavor into it.The food was okay, the beer was good, and the service was good. If you are looking for a neat place to eat in old Rockford's downtown area, you could like this one.

This small restaurant was located right next door to our hotel the Red Roof Inn. What a treat this place was! Great bar drinks and food. We were always in large groups and were served promptly. Prices were good also. Great waitresses. We ate there a couple of times and had several things on the menu and all delicious!

We were on our way home from church, and I had a taste for Giordano's. Where I lived before, we had one around 20 minutes away, but it's a bit longer to get to one at my new home. We plugged it into the Garmin, and went up there.We called ahead for an order - they could accommodate us, and we got our order in. Key Tip: Do this - phone in early - when we arrived, there were 10 people waiting for a table - because we called in, we were immediately seated!We ordered a Chicago Classic. We had arrived around 35 minutes after the order, so it took a bit longer for the pizza to arrive. After our first round of drinks showed up, the pizza showed up.Some observations:The table next to us had their pizza show up later (they ordered when they arrived). Their pizza was steaming when it got to their table for quite a while.Our pizza didn't steam at all. How long was it out of the oven, waiting to get to us?The women's rest room is a disaster. Neither of the doors would close and latch, there were no paper towels, and the electric hand dryer was not working. Waive your hands to dry them? How can this even happen in this day and age? Easy - nobody there cares.I got a soft drink refill - my wife didn't. We were in a corner booth, and the server missed it. My wife was already miffed about the restroom thing.We got to flick some crap off our table when we arrived. Ick.The pizza itself was the usual deep dish delight. Ours wasn't too hot, but the pizza tasted good.Overall: management needs to take a step back and ask "Would I use this bathroom?"Quality Control or food control can't be great if our pizza came out not steaming and fresh from the oven. We were there at least 15 minutes.So, this just gets a disappointing rating of average. There was nothing better than that.

We had the mushroom and spinach pizza, which was more than enough for two people to share. We also ordered the grilled octopus appetizer which was perfectly done. Even though the restaurant was crowded, service was prompt and friendly, the only exception being the fact that the appetizer arrived just AFTER the pizza.

I was in the area on business and we were told that this restaurant was very good so we decided to try it and I am glad I did because it was awesome! Iâm from the east coast so Iâve never had a bison burger so I decided to try one. The bison burger was phenomenal!! Iâve been wasting my time on beef all these years and I could have been eating bison! All of my coworkers loved their meals. The cocktails are also to die for! We were there for lunch so I only had 1 drink but it was delicious and everyone at my table raved about their cocktails. I would love to visit again and try more items on the menu. This place is amazing and has amazing people working here. The food is outstanding and the service even more so. We saw the staff find a pillow for an elderly woman so she could sit higher at the table and they did it with such dignity for her.The piano player and bass player were great to listen to. For food I had the shrimp de jonge, Yum!This was the only glitch: my husband wanted Prime Rib but they were already sold out on Sat.eve. but management apologized and offered the next best steak and comped the cost difference. Wow! This place is beautiful and clean. [The only little wear and tear was on the fabric on the semi circle seats.]Cost for dinner and drinks came to 68.00. [excl.tip]
