Heritage Cafe & Bistro's humble beginnings were when a couple of very passionate nomadic travelers and lovers of excellent cuisine, decided to pack up from mainstream city life to endure a newfound passion in the quest to find "ultimate paradise." After t
To me, the most striking aspect of the Heritage Cafe in Galle is the decor and atmosphere. The furnishings harken back to an earlier time, steeped in history and local culture. The food is tasty, but pretty standard. I remember I ordered a burger and they came back to me saying they had run out. I also remember being a little underwhelmed by the wrap, as I didn't find it value for money. I wouldn't write home about the bistro part of this establishmentI would go back, however to sit in the cafe, drink in the ambience and sip Ceylonese tea. I had an iced tea and sat for a long while, used the WiFi, had access to clean bathrooms and wrote post cards. I would definitely return to the cafe again, to stave off the afternoon heat over a refreshing iced tea.Â

we went back with a group of 10 people and everyone loved the pizza, prices and property. The views are amazing, the staff is fun and engaging, the beer is cold and reasonably priced, and the pizza is consistently outstanding. We will return again and again and again.

We went here tonight after comparing the seafood platter with The Kitchen, which you need to pass through to access Garden Cafe. The platter here sounded more varied and interesting and it ended up tasting great. The accompanying sauces and flavours were good, the prawns were huge and the calamari cooked perfectly. The staff were great, weâd definitely recommend this place.
