Coonoor ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a Taluk and a municipality in the Nilgiris district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is known for its production of Nilgiri tea. Coonoor is located at an altitude of 1,850 m (6,070 ft) above sea level, and is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiri hills after Ooty. It is an ideal base for a number of trekking expeditions leading into the Nilgiris. The nearest airport is Coimbatore International Airport about 79 km from Coonoor town. As of 2011, the town had a population of 45,494. Coonoor is also home to the Pasteur Institute of India, which is responsible for producing Anti-rabies Vaccine and DPT group of Vaccines for the Expanded Program of Immunization of Government of India.

Very tasty food. Tried their Pizza Pasta Sandwiches and the sizzling ice cream brownie is the best I have ever had.There are 3 other restaurants in the complex belonging to Nahar, you can also order food sitting there to be brought from Side walk cafe. They oblige. Don't miss if you are looking for tasty vegetarian comfort food when in Ooty.

Food is bit costly considering the quantity, but the taste is absolutely good.More than the food, you will enjoy the ambience.They have lots of info's about Bee's. I don't know whether to start with the decor or the food or the service.All three went beyond our expectations.Never have I seen a place put together so beautifully.The food right from the amazing starters to the thin crust pizzas that have an amazing mix of flavors to the desserts that are in the category of- To Die For.We ate till we we're stuffed to the core and enjoyed every bite!! Honestly if you give me vegetarian food like this I will give up non veg tomorrowThank you so much for your appreciation of our efforts to make Café Diem a memorable experience.
