Along the Cilentan coast amidst the fishermen's viilage of Santa Maria di Castellabate. Daily fresh fish-dishes, vast amout of different pizza's, wonderful Cilentan delicatesen.

Intrigued by the yellow tabby sculpture perched on the top of the restaurant's gait, we decided to try this restaurant located along the seaside promenade of S. Maria. The atmosphere is no frills, but the staff and the the owner Brigit, fluent in German and Italian, were delightful.Although the octopus salad was quite tough and minimally seasoned, the fried calamari were fresh and tender. I ordered a grilled fish (orata) which was slightly dry. The local table wine was more tolerable in white than the house red. Dessert consisted of a light and creamy pear cheese torte.The pizza menu is extensive, but the specials of the day are few and uncomplicated- nice for families and diners seeking just a few simple choices.

This restaurant is outside in the countryside, up on the hills across from Castellabate. It is covered by a roof, simple tables and chairs, but fantastic food with large portions. Recommended, but avoid Saturdays in July/ August when it is rather crowded, especially if you order pizza.

We needed to wait 20 min to be seated after our booking time, then we waited 30 min to have the table clean and 45 min to have the pizza... I suggest don't go there!!! Please avoid it, there are many other good restaurants in tge area!

We have eaten in Il Cantuccio for many years and have always found the food excellent. The pizza is also great. Service is laid back rather than slow. Remember this local Italy not Tourist Spain. The fact that the locals queue to get in to Il Cantuccio says enough.Try any of the fish dishes or the daily specials and you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the incidences where you do not judge a book by it's cover- although the exterior of Duca Dica is not inviting, the food and value make up for what the establishment lacks in decor.I have eaten here several times with locals and with my family members from the U.S. The restaurant is very clean and the pizza, seafood and antipasto were all quite fresh and tasty. Service was attentive and courteous. We enjoy sitting in the small dining area which faces the sea- quite pleasant on a cool late summer evening. Air conditioning available in the larger dining room.

Put this dining venue on your list of must visits.Remarkable value for high quality food - even the house red wine was impressive.Be comforted the stellar reviews are accurate and La Nonna is the icon.Location may not be instantly appealing but everything else compensates in abundance.

Great pizza with huge selection. Nice selection of beer. Antipasto was good with an interesting assortment of tasty items. The local it's pleasent and quiet, clean, the owners are very friendly and helpful, there is a great variaty of pizza, tasty, thin and crispy, also great italian coffee there, the prices are very good, decent among others in the area, highly recommended!!!I go there for a few years and never dissapointed me.

We visited again this summer (2015) and were delighted to find that the quality of the Pizzas remains unchanged - and excellent. You have to accept that the service is typically Italian - slow - and it is best to get there before 9.00pm and NOT when there is a local festa. That said, they serve the best pizzas in the area - which accounts for their popularity.
