Where to eat Nepali food in Javea: The Best Restaurants and Bars

December 9, 2019 Roseanne Arnett

Reviews on Nepali food in Javea, Province of Alicante, Spain. The coastal jewel of Javea is bookended by rocky headlands and is a prime example of old world meets modern energy. The "old town" district is filled with remains of walls built to keep out pirates, as well as a 14th-century church. Visit the beautiful white-sand Arenal beach, brimming with shops, restaurants and, in the summer, hopping beachside bars and nightclubs.

Everest Spice

Our family fancied a change from Spanish/Mediterranean food whilst on holiday in The Cabo de la Nao area recently and agreed to return to the Everest Spice restaurant - a place we had visited quite a few years earlier. We booked a table in advance and, in common with our recollection from earlier times, we were welcomed warmly and shown to our table outside in the garden area. I must say that all staff are very polite and friendly here. Ordering the drinks and food went relatively quickly - I appreciated the large glasses of draught beer - very welcome on a warm, balmy evening. It was nice to get some popadums and tiny dishes of pickles to nibble at before our food arrived. Actually this took quite some time. Waiting for our food became a bit of an issue - we assume that this because they were quite busy and were dealing with a number of what appeared to be quite large take away orders. The more junior members of our party were getting particularly frustrated at the long wait for their food.Anyway, I went for onion bhajis as a starter and then took the unusual step of ordering a chicken phal curry. I usually order the vindaloo but I thought that I'd check whether I could eat what is often considered to be the hottest, most spicy of all the curries. I must say that it lived up to its reputation. I managed all the white, tender meat (with lots of pilau rice) but I couldn't finish the sauce. And that's saying alot for me. The rest of the family were more sensible and enjoyed their range of mild, tasty curries. Overall we enjoyed our evening here. We would only hope that they could speed things up a little in the future.

Gurkha Palace was highly recommended from reviews we had read & so we took a chance. We were not disappointed! From the service to the starters & mains, it was all excellent! The food was all extremely tasty & met the needs of various pallets & taste buds. The service was both attentive but not intrusive. It felt like a homemade curry away from home! When in the area again, we shall be visiting!

We came here as a family of 8 on Saturday night. Amazing value to say the least. We had a selection of different starters, mains and side dishes and we enjoyed every single one of them. Complimentary drink on arrival coupled with an after dinner drink is a wonderful touch. The quality and quantity of the food is superb. So much so we came away with our leftovers which my children enjoyed the following day ! The staff are lovely too which always makes for a great evening.

Lovely staff, very attentive but not pushy. The food was excellent and plentiful! When asked they delayed our second course for 15 minutes as we were quite full from our starters! A member of staff also ordered a taxi for us. Overall, great food, very reasonable price and we would go again!
