We came here for an 80th birthday party. The food was extremely slow to arrive and the waiters kept making empty promises as to when we would receive the dishes. When the food finally arrived, it was bland and lacking in flavour and spice. I can only imagine they are trying to cater to a Western palate. Won't be coming back here again.Dear krisThank you for taking extra time to write .Let me explain readers about the situation of your table please if I may so.Very simple-1) your booking was from 6:30 whereas first lots about 8 of you arrived at 6:45 after wards and again you had to wait rest of your party for extra 15 minutes. That means you started to make late yourself from your side without letting us know as you did not value our time.2) you were advised itâs a long delay as was started from your side and the restaurant was very busy. Even you had said your self good food needs to be cooked properly. As proper cooking takes more time than microwave.3) I were checking about the expectations of your food myself NUMEROUS TIMES and your FIRM answer was about the food above the expectations. If you would like to remember , you were asked about the quality of the food and your answer was above your expectations.Dear browsers, kindly advise us if we can improve on this.NOW if you wanted to give us the constructive feedback you could have given at those occasions but you preferred to pull us back as you did not wanted to be looked after properly. Apology for our decency.Sincerely yours

Good curry house, the selection of dishes are Nepalese and quite different to a traditional curry house in terms of the menu which might need a bit of pondering if you are new to Nepalese food. The chicken curry I had was very good, service good, it was busy on a Tuesday night so seems to be a popular destination,
Decided to try Ama's after realising that Camberley Tandoori had closed and Ama's was its replacement. What a happy suprise! I haven't had all that much Nepalese food - to be honest it has previously seemed very much like Indian. That's not the case at Ama's, with items on the menu you don't usually see, such as mutton and even buffalo. My husband and I each had a starter - both were tasty and each had a thali, one of us had the lamb and the other, the pork belly. Both were delicious and great value. Something like £9.95 for an entire platter of food. One of us ordered the buckwheat instead of rice and it was a nice change of pace. It looks a bit unusual, but it's texture and taste goes great with the curry.Along with the Nepalese food, we saw the Indian classics and even a couple of Chinese dishes on offer. So, if your tastes run a bit more traditional, you'll probably be happy here too. The service isn't necessarily 5 star, and was rather slow considering they weren't busy, but the staff are very kind and welcoming, so I would say service is good overall.Give Ama's a try - it's something different right here on our doorstep in Camberley!
