Wanted to pick a few pies from their joint at Rakah Shamalia - as I started ordering the counter guy abruptly told that whatever you would order it would take half an hour - one can understand the time they need to serve, yet, there is a way to say - customer service and respect for customers comes first before the taste or price - would rather avoid

I had high expectations as the place is really outstanding in Istanbul , here the decoration and style is the same however food quality taste is really needs major improvements itâs too oily and meat is of cheap frozen quality. Donât recommend place overly priced with poor value

We were staying at the Meridien Hotel which is 5 mins walk away. The restaurant has an odd non inviting appearance from the outside however do go in. In February the temperatures in Saudi are perfect to sit outside. We chose our fresh fish from the display and had it grilled. We chose red snapper, some grilled prawns and exquisite tempura calmari. Highly recommended of you are in the area.

Its amazing their decor, fountain and Waiter Uniform unique and food is delicious. Its good visit with family n friends. I will visit again with good party event. I will suggest friends must visit once then u continue :)

The overall dining experience was satisfactory considering the restaurant is completely inspired from old traditional islamic architecture with a bit of modern touch. The family and bachelor seating areas are segregated, with majlis seating only available for bachelors. While majlis and table seating was available for family section. We ordered the normal jaresh, 3 grilled chicken kabsa, mutton kebab, cream kanafa and 9 filo meat pastries. All the dishes were traditionally served in typical food trays which were professional foiled for hygienic reasons. The jaresh was like oats porridge with caramelized onions on the centre, the kabsa with faham (half grilled chicken) and full grilled chicken was excellent as it had the right proportion of spices which made it taste pretty well and the meat was cooked to perfection which made it very soft and tender to eat. The lamb kebab was not great as it had a bit of smell which made me dislike it and the complimemtary bread basket with the grill was not fresh. The grills were served with french fries and typical salad. The meat filling inside the filo pastry had the similar meat smell which made me dislike it. The cream kanafa was excellent as it was freshly made with cream and it was hot while opening the packaging. We had order 4 small drinking water bottles. The staff service seem to be poor as the staff were not concerned about the customers satisfaction and they didn't provide any assistance after serving the food. We wanted salatah harr (tomato paste) but it wasn't available. Interms of food the restaurant is top-notch. But interms of service and cleanliness the restaurant needs a bit of attention as the majlis carpets were also very dirty. I would highly recommend this place to experience the taste of local cusine in Saudi Arabia.
