The community was named for the cascade in Wappinger Creek. A portion of the village is in the town of Wappinger, and the other part is in the town of Poughkeepsie, with Wappinger Creek forming the dividing line between the towns.

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years. Since its inception, actually. The food portion sizes have declined as has the quality. My biggest complaint is by far the bar staff. I witnessed the female bartender taking money off of the bar and depositing into gratuity container that belonged to patrons still sitting at the bar. Secondly, the same female bartender was giving back incorrect change to patrons and later withdrawing that amount from register and placing into cash register. She actually attempted to do it to me but I called her out on it. She had no words. It is sad to see what this establishment has become.I will take my business elsewhere.

The restaurant is fairly small, but the food, craft beers, and staff are great. The food portions are large, so be careful about over ordering. The food and beer pricing is a good value. Also, try to get there slightly off peak, because seating is limited.

If you are happy with the typical Mexican choices, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, frajitas, you'll find what you are looking for here. All decently made. If you are looking for more complex Mexican dishes, they are not available here. The environment is lively with painted furniture , drawing a large crowd. It is a convenient, good choice for stopping in after a shopping trip in the area. Families are also welcome.

I have been going to this restaurant for many years with family. Always quality and delicious. Family owned. Best salsa, fresh chips and excellent service. Margaritas is truly a place to eat at an inexpensive price and excellent Mexican food. One of our favorites! You have to try it!

Wanted to dine somewhere we had never been but Saturday night was a bit busy everywhere. Our waiter was awesome and friendly. The food was below average. My husband had a giant burrito, he said the meat was overcooked but overall okay dish. My buffalo and blue chicken strips were painfully dry. Not on my list of places to revisit but as always we made the best and had a good time.
