Ok we hadnât seen each other in two years so there we were outside a small Mexican restaurant when we decided to check it out. So the 8 of us went in and were so glad we did. The ingredients were fresh and individually prepared for each order and we each ordered differently so we had a great opportunity to try a wide range of menu items and we all agreed - the food was excellent- plentiful, tasty, and reasonably priced. It is a small spot, but has an outside seating area to add to your seating options. Everything was great, but I must say the shrimp dishes were amazing. Loved this spot & would definitely do it again if we ever are back in Truckee!

First time in the store. Very impressed. Nice selection of products, including fresh produce. Will definitely be going back.
Over the last two years, three visits have been made here. Each time, the staff wanted to please. The food was great...hot and tasty with fresh ingredients. The seating is limited and not that comfortable
Just stop by and pickup great food. New ideas made with quality and fresh ingredients. Homemade recipes made fresh everyday. Try the American Sandwich, California and Lebanese. Right next to Smokyâs kitchen.

Wife and I stopped in for lunch there while walking streets of Truckee. Almost always use TripAdvisor before walking in ANY restaurant I've never been to before but we were passing right by it and the smell from the kitchen was enticing so we violated the rule and ended up being sorry for it.I got the Shrimp Rancheros. based on the description sounded awesome but it came out as a loose, soupy, mess. I don't know how to describe what the flavor was but closest was like burned garlic and sour tomato soup.Wife had enchiladas and they too were not good at all. Waiter set our food down and never came back again - had to go find him to pay the bill. I hate giving poor reviews and only do so when it's deserving. Not recommended.

We loved the outdoor seating area! Shaded and great atmosphere. Our service was great- everything came out very fast and the staff was very kind. The chips and salsa weren't the greatest, but the guac was delicious. All of our meals were good- not the greatest, but overall yummy.

After a beautiful day hike outside of Donner Lake we 4 drove into Truckee for something to eat. Mexican is always a crowd pleaser - not this time. The "carnitas" were not slow cooked, seasoned, or carnitas. The average to poor tasting meat was the consistency and color of a pork chop. The adabado was lackluster. The mahi mahi taco was in fact good. The entire staff seemed put out having to wait on anyone and disgusted by answering simple questions (like what comes in that burrito?)

If you want affordable traditional Mexican food in a friendly atmosphere, this is the place. Low prices. Full bar. But don't expect any frills.

Golden Rotisserie essentially is a Mexican Restaurant. Good fresh rotisserie can be healthy. They also have tacos and other Mexican favorites. They sell beer on site and have indoor dining. Parking is tight because itâs next to dmv and natural food store. Good place to go and very good option if you are tired of the same thing in Truckee.

The hard shell tacos here are delicious. The remodel has a better feel, providing area for larger groups, or booths for smaller groups. A large variety of cold beers, friendly staff, and easy parking. Order at the counter, and they deliver to your table. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, is I love San Diego Mexican food, and this isnât quite to that level. Solidly good, but not âexcellentâ. Will be back.
