I really have no complaints with Maya. It is an excellent restaurant. But, and here is the but, Mexican food is truly meant to be earthy and filling. The food here is artistic and crafted for discerning foodies, almost a fusion. It is definitely a higher end meal, plated with style and substance. That is not a bad thing, but this is not a local Mexican taco shop. The food is good, you won't be disappointed, but it isn't your Tia's home cooking.
