Amazing tacos and the prices are great. Had the tres tacos platter. Nice young lady recommended the chicken, barbacoa and al pastor (spiced pork). The beans and rice were amazing. They have grilled onions on the side. I put them right on my tacos. You must try this place. Oh and the owner was so nice.

I don't have many reasons to be in Garland so I don't think I'd ever explored downtown Garland before. Then my walking group held a walking event around downtown Garland. The restaurant was the start/end point for the event and acted as host.As soon as we entered Dos Banderas, I knew I'd want to have lunch here. It smelled yummy! I could hardly wait to finish the walk so we could reward ourselves with something delicious.After walking our 6k, we selected a booth and ordered. I had a sweet iced tea and avocado enchiladas with cilantro cream sauce. My walking partner also had a sweet iced tea but he ordered a chile relleno stuffed with fajita chicken.I was very pleasantly surprised by the chips and salsa that arrived as appetizers. The chips were warm so the salt I sprinkled on them stuck. The salsa was much better than I usually find in the Metroplex. It was perfectly picante with spices and vinegar. Our food arrived quickly. After having walked so much, I hadn't wanted to order anything too heavy. My lunch fit the bill. I'd never had cilantro cream sauce before so I didn't know what I would be getting. As soon as I tasted it, I knew I was in heaven. The smooth creaminess of the avocado was perfectly offset by the piquant sauce. The tea set off the meal with the sweetness. No dessert was needed although the sopapillas and honey passing by to another table was tempting.I'm going to have to come up with excuses to visit Garland now.

It was not the most amazing food I have ever eaten, but it was pretty good. I enjoyed the salsa, and the queso and Guac were pretty good too. We had a huge group (22), and the staff did an excellent job. They were extremely accommodating. They did an excellent job getting all the food out near the same time.

Real cheese, home made tortillas, great salsa, great chips, great refried beans and rice. Those are the foundation I look for at any good Tex Mex restaurant. This place has it all.We had excellent chicken enchiladas with Verde sauce, and they were excellent. Others at the table had shrimp and chicken fajita quesadillas, all were very good, bordering on excellent.The service was good and we will definitely be back.

We both ordered the same thing. The taco dinner platter. One chicken and one beef platter. They were good. Good flavor. The refried beans were a little runny. The crispy shells were very thick. The Queso was good but Luke warm. The salsa that comes with the chips is way too hot (spicy hot). I like hot salsa but this was just too hot.

Stopped by for a quick lunch on Sat. The restaurant was busy with family diners. Lots of activity, noise, and laughter. Good times were being enjoyed. The service was a bit slow and inattentive but acceptable. Food was excellent. Queso was cheesy with just enough jalapeño to make it spicy. No greasy tastes in the enchiladas. Beans and rice were OK. It is worth another visit.

The far south has many recipes not usually cooked in a Tex-Mex restaurant. Gloria's personified the more southerly cuisine if a very pleasant venue. I sought after several of their offerings that I had not seen in local Latin cafes and was quite pleased that I did. Even the offerings of warm black bean dip and salsa with chips that were not only complimentary but very tasty as well. I will going back regularly in the future.

This is a really good family restaurant. It has everything you would be looking for. A casual atmosphere, fun decorations, a great wait-staff, very good food, big portions and very reasonable prices. I had assumed that the menu would be all Mexican food but they had a nice selection of other items. Their chips and salsa were awesome. As I am from Arizona and have ready access to good Mexican food all the time I decided to go with the chicken fried steak. OMG it was HUGE! Looking around at other tables I could see that portion sizes of all the dinners were very big. You are not going to leave this place hungry. Their prices are very reasonable, even more so when you take into account the amount of food you get. I would most definitely eat here again

A group of us had dinner here and all of us enjoyed our meals. I had the Brisket Tacos which were excellent. The service was great and Luis, the bartender, was outstanding.
