Went here twice in one week end and loved it both times. Both taking out and dining at the bar food and drinks were good. Atmosphere and staff were great. I'm glad they're bringing this heated battle from south Amherst to Easthampton. It is a welcomed addition to this side of the river

Granted they have only been open for a few weeks at this location, but the disorganization is unacceptable. We were seated quickly enough and given menus with extremely small print that some of us could not read even with glasses. Then we sat for about 15 minutes and watched as other customers came in, were seated, provided place settings, water and chips, and their orders taken. We were finally able to get someone's attention and asked for water when a waitress came over to take our order. Several of those who arrived after us had finished eating before we were served. We also watched customers at three other tables get partially served. One or two of the people at the table had their food while the others waited from 2 to 10 minutes before their meals arrived. We were unable to get anyone's attention to get a glass of water refilled during our meal. The food tasted fine, although two of us ordered burritos that were lukewarm at best. It was certainly not good enough to go through that ordeal again. Hopefully they get their act together soon.

My daughter the ex-Smithie wanted to return, so I bent and said okay. Mistake. It's okay, don't get me wrong. The spicy pickles a delight. BUT. There were mistakes on our order (we were 6 people) and the food was what I'd remembered from last time. So-so. So next time, we'll go to a competitor I find WAYYY fresher and cleaner tasting. Having lived 10 years in Tex/Mex food land and 6 years in Mexico (the old one, in Mexico).. great Mexican food tastes fresh. Not reheated again and again. Not with messy mashed potato mix up taste.

I have known for years that their food is not authentic or particularly good for the prices, but usually it's safe to get a margarita and simple food. Claudio (owner) needs to stop getting by on his long-ago reputation. We arrived for a meal before a concert on Tuesday of this week. The host was the only person who seemed to be trying very hard to help everyone else. No server came over to us. I had to get up twice to ask the host to send a server. The served only half-listened so we wondered how the order would go. Well, 15 minutes later, she came back to inform us she neglected to put in our drink order at all and that we should not expect to get served because the bartender was too busy!! Cannot make this up. Then she turned and walked away. She seemed to want us to leave. No apology. No comp or any form of remorse. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I was appalled. We will never go there again. I have been supporting restaurants in Northampton since 1982, and this was the most ridiculous experience. It may have been saved if someone had apologized. We were there for 35 minutes total with no service whatsoever.
