The food here is amazing! We just returned from Mexico. We strongly feel that Casa de Issac had better more authentic food. The service is great too. We try to eat there at least twice a month. The owner is a great guy and you can often find him there working. If you visit and find it full try the Highland Park location. It's just as good!

The offerings are dumbed-down to Anglo-'Mexican' and the only sauce available is traditional Tabasco. Around the lunch-hour time slot the line can be long and the outside tables are in a covered area that also acts as a wind-tunnel. For mediocre 'Mexican' cuisine, well, I'd suggest taking a pass. A little further north, in Highwood, is Tacos El Norte; now they prepare and serve honest Mexican dishes and at more than reasonable prices.

Weekend evening -- management was welcoming and venue is colorful, but noisy.Large groups challenged server efficiency, prices were reasonable and portions were large. However, meal prep was not excellent. Guac was small serving and gummy, beef was tough and unseasoned, and other dishes were somewhat bland. Not bad, but not outstanding.

We love going to Bartaco in Nashville and this location was no different. The food was great, drinks amazing and the people friendly. Weâll come back often, but they need to do something about the wait, maybe reservations on weekend evenings? Itâs been a long wait because itâs just that good!

There are entrances on two levels. If you come in from the parking lot, you can use the elevator or the staircase to get to the second floor.The salad bar is a big draw here. There are many, many choices....and your server will bring you a fresh plate for your return trip. I didn't count the salad dressings, but there are at least a dozen -- probably a lot more.Before you return to your table, check out the counter opposite the salad bar. There are mini muffins and a selection of salad add-ons. The fried onions are very good.

I met up with business colleagues for a Thursday evening happy hour. The white sangria was good, and initially the service was ok. However, after bringing us chips & guacamole, the server never came back. We all had our one drink, and some were contemplating ordering actual meals, but there were no servers to be found. Empty glasses sat unattended and the chips & guac were gone. Given my experience at other American bars where thereâs a lot of attention paid to refilling glasses, I was disappointed that we got nothing after the first round. I wasnât also planning to eat there as I had another commitment straight afterwards, but left hungry.
