If you are in Bogalusa and looking for Mexican, don't miss YoYo's. I love stopping here to eat when I'm in town. The place looks authentic and it is. You are going here to eat great food here, not be concerned with ambiance. It is clean and the service is pretty friendly. The Tacos are terrific, but they are not on the menu. You have to ask for them. The Green Salsa is the best this side of New Mexico.

Half the restaurants on here are closed. If you're in town for the day, Maria's is the best choice in Bogalusa for a quick lunch. The salsa is really better than most. The service is friendly. Tammy is a great waitress. Hang in there Bogalusa. You're a great town.

Don't go looking for a sit-down restaurant at 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday in Bogalusa. The only place my wife and I could find was Yo-Yo's on Superior Avenue. It is not a fancy place by any means, but the food was fresh and very tasty. While they label themselves as a "Mexican" restaurant, they have seafood, steaks, and seafood on their menu -- even Country fried steak. I actually ordered a hamburger which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. This is just a good place to eat; I wouldn't say the food is outstanding, but it is good.

You generally know what to expect at a Taco Bell. I stopped here on a cross country bicycle tour. The tacos had generous incredients, and the ladies working were funny and friendly. Thanks girls for the good service.
