We were looking for a place to get lunch in the Riviera after a meeting, and we happened upon Turquoise. What a delightful surprise! We were both on a Paleo diet, and we easily found salads that were excellent. My husband had the spinach salad, and I had the Greek salad. We both ordered salmon to go with our salads. The dressings on both salads were really delicious. I mean really. And our salmons were cooked to perfection, really nicely browned and tender inside. It was just a fantastic lunch. We will definitely go again.

We stopped by for a quick early dinner one evening at this conveniently located restaurant in the Riviera in Redondo Beach. It's located amongst a myriad of other local places offering similar, and some not so similar, menu selections. As an adventurous diner, niece of a restaurateur and home cook, I thought their pasta offerings about $7 over priced, especially the mussel & clam offerings. I also thought the offering of a Thai salad in a predominately Italian/Mediterranean menu for $20 that consisted mostly of julienned veggies and maybe 2 small sliced within an inch of their shrimp life a bit pretentious (and not very good) but that was my companion's choice, sadly. I chose the braised short ribs ($29) a much better value and a much more delicious selection. Combined with a fairly good wine list, I will say Zazou's redeemed itself with my well prepared entre and excellent wait staff. Advice: When in Rome - - don't order Thai food!

They lost their power just as we were seated due to a transformer blowing. They said they could still serve us though. We moved to a table outside to be cooler (we were visiting during the recent heat wave) and they immediately came out with a candle and complementary pita and hummus. The owner himself took our order and chatted with us while we waited. The food was delicious especially the lamb kabob. They were so calm and pleasant during a stressful time for them. We definitely plan to go back again when we are next in the area.

Great Italian food from Rome. Got the Octopus appetizer, the beans were superb, the octopus chewy. And the salad was good, and the dressing was very sour, wow. But the Bucatini pasta was incredible. Amazing! The creme brulee desert was great, as expected. Good service and interesting Italian music.
