We had a family lunch on the terrace of this very quaint restaurant today. I must say we are all favorably impressed. The location is excellent with a breathtaking view of the Monte Forata in the Apuan Alps. There food was well presented and well prepared. Friendly and helpful staff. A must if you are in the Versilia Area. Well done!!! Thank s, see you later !

Why it has taken us two years to try this restaurant, I do not know. We have bought meat from it during the day (it is also a butchers) but never eaten there until a few days ago. A terrific experience and rivals any of the similar places in nearby Pietrasanta. Camaiore doesn't have the same cache when compared to its more "arty" neighbouring town (of Pietrasanta) but it provides a different, less touristy/commercialised experience. As for Alan (we showed them the famous youtube video of the talking squirrel shouting Alan!) it was a great evening. Not rushed, an excellent Chianina Fiorentina T-Bone between the two of us (plenty), perfectly cooked and tender. A very good selection of wines and reasonable (for the area) prices and the waiting staff were excellent. Very attentive and clearly happy to be working there. We started the meal with a beer after a very active and hot day. They even had an excellent Gluten free beer for my wife. Good selection of breads and then onto the beef. Beautifully presented and accompanied by local beans and roast potatoes. We will be back very soon.

This place is just extraordinary ! It's an Tuscan restaurant located on top of a hills. The food is delicious and the prices are amazing.I DEFENETLY RECOMMEND THIS EXCEPTIONAL PLACE.LOCATION : Montemagno -ACCESSIBILITY : need to have a or - PLACE : small restaurant +/- 15 tables - FACILITIES : Big parking - SERVICES : perfect and prosecco offer by the house as well - MENU / WINE LIST: - PRICES : (local restaurant = not expensive ) 38euro for 2REWARD : EXCELLENT

This is one of my top three all time restaurants, across the planet. Almost impossible to find!!! Genuinely, off the beaten track. You end up on a dirt road in the hills around Lucca. We only found it through friends who live locally. Kill it and grill it type place. All local produce. Fantastic pasta dishes. Fab view across the valley. Large veranda. Pasta really is delicious.Mainly local clientele because only locals would know where to find this restaurant. But if your adventurous and love your food and the simplicity of Italian cuisine, this establishment is for you.

At the dealock of a narrow hill lane, nestled among the big stones of a small river, this place offers really nice foods, with mostly locally selected ingredients, very tasty, very fresh, wisely combined and blended. Staff is attentive and friendly. Prices very affordable. Surely a must if you happen to stroll around Versilia area.

A perfect place to stop and have dinner or just a sneak, after a good walking on the Apuane Alps -- very nice hiking paths start from the end of the street.

Interesting place... we were the only non-italians there and did not understand everything what is going on. And the dinner started with some appetizers, proscutto, shells filled with meet. We continued with different types of pasta (I was full at this moment), but continued with great half-kilo meet stakes... and desert at the end.Everything was great, but some explanation (on english) would be nice.At the end - 25 Eur / person. Bargain!And it all lasted for 4 hours :)

We were here last night and enjoyed ourselves. No menu but the helpful, English speaking waitress was able to advise. Antipasti was great and very large. Delicious pasta, I particularly appreciated that there were several vegetarian sauces for my daughter to choose from. I shared a secondo because the pasta was large!Very good value food.

Fab restaurant. Run by a hard working family that have make this a local institution. Tucked in the hills about 25 minutes from Lucca. Good range of meat and fish dishes, all local. Super friendly staff. Interior is smart, spacious. Posh vibe but you can dress informally. Used for wedding parties. Large balcony. Large parking lot.
