Situated in the northeast of the Hageland region, Diest neighbours the provinces of Antwerp to its North, and Limburg to the East and is situated around 60 km from Brussels. The municipality comprises the city of Diest proper and the towns of Deurne, Kaggevinne, Molenstede, Schaffen and Webbekom. As of January 1, 2006, Diest had a total population of 22,845. The total area is 58.20 km² which gives a population density of 393 inhabitants per km².

Small restaurant in Diest with great mediteranian kitchen ! And very nice welcoming service.We have been in this restaurant quite often already and choose every time something different from the menu. Never we were disappointed . The wines are very good and the prices reasonable especially when compared to the quality. The owners deserve it to be recommended !

Although the food was still ok, we had a very bad feeling while entering the restaurant;While we were waiting to be send to a table at the entrance, the waitress only came towards us because a group of four which she obviously knew came after us. Then she treated us as if we were air and led those people to their table totally ignoring us. Just when I was doubting whether to leave or not she turned at us and showed us our table.Sorry but that's just rude, first come first served should be a restaurant law...

Gezellige informele zaak, met veel homemade gerechten. Zoals salades, soepen,wraps en croques. Tapas en fingerfoods voor de lekkere trek. Daarnaast vele soorten thee en speciale koffies.

Toevallig kwamen we met een hongerige maag voorbij deze zaak op zaterdag 29/12. Het bleek een splinternieuwe zaak te zijn van 3 maanden oud. Een zeer lieve mama heeft deze zaak geopend voor haar zeer sympathieke zoon. De koffie en thee, waarin er trouwens zeer veel keuze is, wordt netjes geserveerd. Mijn kinderen namen elk een bordje met 4 kleine pizza's. Ik nam als lunch een Caesarsalade. Onze dochter nam nog een stuk gebak achteraf, ook dit was netjes geserveerd. De prijzen van de gerechten zijn echt schappelijk voor een stad.
