Bridge of Allan (Scots: Brig Allan, Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid Alain) is a town in the Stirling council area in Scotland, just north of the city of Stirling. It lies on the Allan Water, a northern tributary of the River Forth, built largely on the well-wooded slopes of the Westerton and Airthrey estates, sheltered by the Ochil Hills from the north and east winds. Most of the town is to the east of the river; the bridge is part of the A9, Scotland's longest road, while the railway line and the M9 pass to the west of the river. Bridge of Allan railway station is on the Edinburgh to Dunblane Line.

We enjoyed a very nice Italian dinner at this small restaurant in Doune. The Garlic Bread was delicious and was topped with sapphire. Our main courses of Ravioli with Boar, Prawns with Tagliatelle and Meatballs with Tagliatelle were all perfectly prepared. However, the server was new to the restaurant and needed more knowledge.Thank you for your kind words regarding your visit, Our staff are always working hard to improve and apologise if this effected your overall experience.

We had dinner at the Ristorante Mamma Mia. The owner Saverio and his staff welcomed us warmheartedly. Their service was absolutely professional and we enjoyed all the dishes they brought us from the kitchenSo if you are in Stirling and want to eat real good food, so go to MAMMA MIA, you will not regret it!

Visited this on our Anniversary with our grown up sons and had the Meze with a couple of bottles of Chianti. Set in one of the many townhouses, this lends itself to the intimate atmosphere. It was very busy even in midweek, so booking is recommended. Couldn't fault anything.

We had pizzas there as a family. The pizza was soggy as the tomato sauce was too watery. They were not bad but not amazing. The service felt a bit unfriendly as if they would have preferred us not to be there. The restaurant feels more like a small takeaway with a few tables. No alcohol is served. No ice is available for drinks.

Bloody love the crook! Been a few times and each time it's relaxed, fun and just a lovely place to be. The food, for me, has gotten even better. My three friends and I booked for Saturday past and shared 12 tapas dishes between us which was more than enough- I refused to share my churros though! Staff attentive and chilled kept checking on us for drinks but without being annoying. Only thing we missed was the live music which must have been the only Saturday they haven't had any but an excuse to go back nonetheless! Well done to owners and staff for making each trip a great one!Wow! Thanks very much for taking time out to write this! As you know we have music on every Saturday, but someone pulled out at short notice last week and it was too late to get a replacement Anyway, looking forward to seeing you again very soon!

We were visiting nearby Stirling Castle, and decided to have an early dinner on this great restaurant.The water was very friendly, and offered to make a small pizza for our ten year old.We chose from the early bird menu, and were very impressed with the quality of the food.The stuffed mushrooms, and Pene pasta with broccoli and Italian sausage was superb, and my wife enjoyed her bruschetta and carbonara too.Very reasonable and highly recommended
