We were warmly greeted and showed to a lovely table. The lamb chops were delicious and the skirt steak special was equally delicious. We had the yellow tail roll, which was made with a tortilla, as an appetizer. The tortilla just didn't hit the mark - the remainder of the roll was very flavorful - but the tortilla just didn't help to elevate it. (It would have been better w/o)The wine list is good and has nice value. Dessert was the decadent brownie and yummy ice cream - amazing. The presentation on all items was top notch. It's pricey - our meal with tip was just under $200; but, before you think that's too high, please realize that the food is fresh and VERY well prepared. There is tremendous attention to detail, and the service staff is professional and well-trained - and all of this makes a memorable "dining experience". It's a lovely restaurant for a romantic dinner.

On my most recent visit I had their ceviche and sample my dining companion had the pork sandwich; both which proved to be truly delicious. The ceviche came served in a wide soup like bowl, somewhat different that the way I've had it served in Peru or other area establishments. The roasted corn kernels were also placed on the edge of the bowl instead of served separately, which was also somewhat different. The taste of the ceviche was really great, every ingredient super fresh and totally tasty. My dining companions pork also proved most, totally tasty and the pork, unlike on my prior visit some five years ago, was completely trimmed of fat. On my table there were three unlabeled squeeze bottles of condiments visibly unidentifiable. As I could not get the attention of my waiter to tell me what they were, I really have no idea, but I did taste all three, guessing that one was a unique black olive mayo based. However all three were really delightful in flavor. Why a restaurant can't label condiment ingredients that are on your table or why a waiter wouldn't voluntarily tell you what they are completely miffs me. You can tell that Bravo has a good number of loyal repeat customers. When you overhear the majority of customers and wait staff speaking with each other on a first name basis, it's a rather obvious fact and a good sign when a restaurants has such a high number of repeats.

First time solo dining here. Ordered the tamale and chicken breast. Wow, a lot of food. The tamale is giant loaded with pork, masa & onions. A meal in itself. The grilled chicken breast with sautéed onions was good, but the tamale was great. Add the plantains, rice & black beans were all good. Too much food, so the to go made it 3 meals. Service was pleasant as he went out of his way to allow me to try another dish. Everything was good, oh did I mention the tamale was great. Prices on par. Would definitely return.

This is one of those places that you would drive by and not even give a second glance to. We happened to discover it at the Taste of Oakland Park and decided to come and check it out.The restaurant is a stand-alone building that is non descript. The interior is small, but the staff is very warm and friendly. This restaurant specializes in Mexican and Salvadoran foods. We started our meal with Horchata, which is a blend of rice milk and cinnamon and our first time ever having it. It was YUMMY and comes in a huge glass. Each table is served chips, which were warm and crispy, and a homemade salsa. The salsa was very good. Not too spicy, but has a slight kick. For starters we tried the Sweet Corn Tamales (it was like eating a dessert!) and a bean Pupusa, which is a traditional Salvadoran corn tortilla stuffed with items of your choice. It comes with this wonderful sauce and cabbage mix to be placed on top. It wasn't greasy at all and I would definitely recommend to try it. For the main entries we had the Grilled Chicken Breast that is topped with grilled peppers and onions. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned and I like the fact that it is grilled. It is accompanied with black beans (AMAZING FLAVOR) and a rice that has some mixed vegetables in it. Delicious! The other dish we tried was the Salvadoran Steak in Red Sauce, which is sauteed with onions, peppers, and tomatoes. Highly Recommended! The sauce almost tastes like an Italian tomato sauce and goes well with everything. I even liked it on my chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked as well. This, too, is accompanied with black beans and rice plus fried plantains. Definitely a Winning Dish!Portions are large and we, unfortunately, had no room for dessert. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND coming to check it out. Don't be fooled by looks on the outside, as inside, is definitely a treat for your taste buds!PS - If this review was useful, please click the HELPFUL button on your phone or you can click the THANK YOU button on your computer. Good Paella de Mar that was generous with the shrimp, clams and mussels. The shrimp (Gambas al Ajillo) was good too. The lamb dish (Jarrete de Cordero) was okay, but the Bravas and Chorizo al Vino were just not my taste. The sangria was great though! Service was just okay- our waiter disappeared for quite some time.
