Where to eat Latin food in Atlantic City: The Best Restaurants and Bars

November 11, 2019 Kelli Reichel

Reviews on Latin food in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States. It's the East Coast's answer to Las Vegas. Atlantic City's casinos draw tourists by the car- and bus-load, but even if your main objective is to play some blackjack, you'll want to save time for sightseeing. Stroll along the famous boardwalk with its numerous amusements and eateries or visit the historic, recently restored Absecon Lighthouse. Several fine courses attract golf enthusiasts, and in summer, local beaches are popular with families. Water-based activities include parasailing, charter fishing and tall ship cruises. Casino hoppers have 12 establishments to choose from, which run the gamut from elegance to a Wild West theme, so there's something for everyone's taste. Those who remember Atlantic City in its pre-gambling days can wax nostalgic with a taste of saltwater taffy, which has been an Atlantic City specialty for over 100 years.

Last time we were in the Tropicana there was a ribs restaurant in this location. We were very pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant that serves a wonderful breakfast. The food was great. The service was excellent. The plates were garnished with fresh fruit which was not only attractive but a healthy addition.

Pancho's Mexican Taqueria

First time here for take-out. Saw reviews on TA and decided to try it. There are a few other Mexican restaurants in the immediate area that I’ve been to, but always looking to try different local restaurants. The place is far from “attractive” and the grill area looked like it could be cleaner, but I must say the food was very good. Staff was not the friendliest but again, I was not eating there so didn’t really care too much about that. The food was made very quickly and ingredients looked and smelled fresh. They have beers but no other alcohol available.Prices were fair and portions generous. I ordered steak tacos (3), chicken sopes (3), steak fajitas (3) and a side order of nopal (some kind of cactus) and all were very good. Really like the homemade masa. Would absolutely come back again.
