Second time going to this restaurant and same pleasure. There are so many items on the menu, that you can have taste new dishes every time. Service is nice and fast. Dished are very fresh, quickly served, and recipes are very innovative. This is definitely a place I would recommend and where I will come back

This is typical of the many ramen places that have been popping up all over town. The pork belly in the shoyu ramen was good but the broth is just so so. If you have ever seen the movie "Tampopo", then you know what it really takes to make a killer broth. These chain ramen houses just can't duplicate the broth of an authentic ramen chef.

Ordered the Spicy Pork combo and the large sashimi platter (24 pieces), plus California rolls. The combo came with rice, soup, salad, California rolls and tempura. Fairly generous size meal for under $20. The sashimi platter was presented beautifully and the fish pieces fair sized. It even came with two large scallops. Additional California rolls were only about $6. The service was efficient and friendly even thou the place was fairly crowded. The parking lot is fairly small and shared with a Papa John's pizza establishment but there is street parking a few minutes away.

This restaurants reminds me of little restaurants I have been to in Honolulu. Its kind of outdated, a little kitschy, but a very well-established and friendly place with good food that is very well priced for this expensive era in restaurants. The tempura is especially good as is the miso soup. The choices of food is pretty extensive and well-planned and the little side dishes with your meal are very tasty.The service is good and ,it's nice to see so many people from different races and cultural groups frequenting the restaurant. It's located on the main st of South Pasadena and easy to get to.The food is of good quality and very reasonable as well. The sushi is good, and they have many different choices. The restaurant has been in business for many years and they are open all day and evening most of the time.Would have liked the ac to work a little better on hot days, but it kinda adds to the charm and really makes the diner think of coming in from a sultry afternoon on the side street of Honolulu for a good Japanese meal.

A choice of 3 different style ramen, with many options for added ingredients and a number of other menu items (including dessert). Draft and bottled beer. Very friendly and efficient staff. Casual setting. If a line, it moves quickly. Highly recommended.

I make it a habit of staying in Pasadena each month JUST to dine at Osawa. It was a mess last Sunday. They sat us quite late for our reservation, when we were finally seated well after our 6:45 reservation they were out of ALL the whole fish, the bagna cauda and more. The portions were noticeably smaller and the staff clearly overrun. I am so sad as finding this quality of Japanese food is tough - I donât know if I would return.
