We were attending Dr. McDougall’s Residential program nearby and a whole food plant based menu was arranged for us, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the dishes that were served. We started out with corn soup and veggie sushi followed by a variety of Asian dishes. Everything turned out great and there was no meat, fish, dairy or any kind of oil included in any offering.

Stopped in to order something to go. Extensive menu with a lot of house specialty rolls on the menu. The customer service was excellent, the food was prepared quickly, and I was on my way to enjoy fresh sushi and miso soup (not too salty, well rounded flavor). Look forward to my next visit.

This is located in the heart of Railroad Square where there are several other nice restaurants surrounding this establishment. As we were seated, I noticed how casual this place looks. I could have mistaken it for a burger or pizza place. When we arrived, we were fortunate to be seated immediately, since the major crowd had not shown up yet (the crowd came about 20 minutes later). When we received our soup and salad, we both found the miso soup to be fairly tasty. As for the salad, we both didn't care for the dressing. It was a combination of lemon and some other ingredients we couldn't make out. Not a typical Japanese-style salad dressing. As for the dinner, I had the Beef Teriyaki and Shrimp Tempura Roll. I enjoyed both. The steak was cooked was grilled just right, the meat was tender and flavorful, and a decent portion size. The Shrimp Tempura roll was also nicely flavored. My wife had the Salmon Teriyaki. She thought it was very tasty. Nicely grilled - moist on the inside with a nice grill on the outside, not fishy tasting and a decent portion size. Now the one thing that I didn't care for much was the wasabi-flavored salad that came with my combo meal. I think for me, I don't like wasabi or spicy food, in general. Just be aware that this place can get noisy when the restaurant fills up. But this place is a family-oriented style Japanese restaurant.

Located only a couple blocks from county bus transit, where I was awaiting a friend arriving from San Francisco. I was tired and hungry, and walked over to a collection of restaurants and coffee shops (Petes and Starbucks are across the street), This location is adjacent to a city plaza, also. So I ordered ebi and california roll as I prefer cooked items. Both were prepared fresh while I waited, and tasted very fresh. Even the wasabi and ginger tasted better than other places. The service was efficient and friendly, and the owner came over to confirm my complex order of partial eating in, and partial takeout for the friend when she arrived. We had a nice discussion of the fare. The interior has a warm feeling, being a cool day.
