Lovely restaurant with small parent seating area to enjoy a refreshment and nibbles. Service excellent and welcoming. Worth spending a moment to break up a long day walking around the City.

On a recent trip to Bologna we thought we would treat ourselves to a nice meal in a nice restaurant as it was our anniversary. We entered this restaurant on a saturday evening at 7.30 just as it was opening. We were the only ones there. The lady approached us and after giving us a very condesending look asked us had we booked, we had not she went to check the book and came back and said it was serving fish only that night, we said great, she then went to the book again and came back and said sorry no vacancy ! We just left as she clearly did not want us ! What a cheek! It was the only bad experience we had in that area the other restaurants we visited were excellent and friendly.

A nice restaurant with easy parking nearby in Zola Predosa, very close to Bologna. Traditional dishes from Lazio, very well done and for reasonable prices. Very good all the appetizers and the pastas (I particularly liked the "Gricia", with guanciale). Very good the panna cotta with caramelized orange. Service was friendly. The menu was a bit outdated and some wine bottles were not properly described (e.g. the menu listed a 2009 bottle but we got a 2012). I had better Roman meals in Trastevere in Rome but this was very good nonetheless. I would go back. After lunch in good season you can go for a drive or a walk in the nearby, very nice hills.

Returned for lunch the day after Christmas, and once again were completely satisfied with both the food and the service. The antipasti was certainly large enough to share for the two of us, and each of us enjoyed our pasta dishes (me, the spaghetti carbonara, my wife, the tortellini in brodo). The house wine was quite nice.Again, recommended.

TRANQUILITY - In the west side of Bologna, in Borgo Panigale, there is the La Taverna del Castoro Restaurant, within CIM Società Cooperativa Sociale. A simple, friendly and very welcoming environment, where you can breathe a warm and familiar atmosphere,
Not even sure where to start. We came on a Wednesday when the restaurant serves a set menu. The food was phenomenal. Simple ingredients, fine preparation and beautiful presentation. We expected food in Bologna to be great but this place has really surprised us.The staff was extremely nice and friendly. At the end we had a chance to meet Angelo who stopped by to tell us the history of the place. It turns out it is a coop with an inclusive mission that employees and offer opportunities for handicapped people. You simply could not top it!A true gem of Bologna.

You eat very well at Beppe's ristorante and at a very good price. There is a big selection of dishes. There are some classic Bolognonese recipes available. The ristorante is always packed with people so it is a good idea to book in advance. Highly recommended.

Gentilizia allo stato puro. Locale caratteristico. Ottime tigelle e Crescentine (leggere e digeribili) buoni anche gli affettati.. anche se avrei preferito una porzione più abbondante visto che il conto non è proprio economico ma cmq neanche caro. Da andarci

Situated opposite our hotel Le Mura is a traditional restaurant offering an interesting menu. Food was mixed as my lasagne was average but my wife had the pork ribs which were delicious. Service was prompt but it was very quiet the night we went. Thanks for your great words. We look forward to see you again. best regards

Drawn to this restaurant because of the reviews. We were visited by the chef Ricardo Facchini. Yesss! A new restaurant and the chef came to our table to explain the dishes. It was excellent! The chef is Ricardo Facchini!! Premiere pati tortollini in capon broth and we also had tagliatelle with ragu!!! Both excellent. Then we had a dish called Cotolette Bolognese. It was a cutlet Parmesan and the prosciutto steamed for the cheese to melt. It was more than we Americanos could finish but SO delicious!! A gem of a restaurant find with fresh handmade pasta and so Bolignese!! Thank you Ricardo!!Thank you for choosing Opificio Facchini. We will be delighted to welcome you many times! You have been exquisite guests, in the place we love to define our home! See you soon!
