Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Zagreb. Zagreb got its start as two medieval fortress towns atop hills overlooking the Sava River, and was reborn in the Baroque period as center of business, perfectly located on routes connecting Central Europe to the Adriatic Sea. These days, Zagreb is the heart of contemporary Croatia’s culture, art, sports, and academics, but its history is not forgotten. The unique blend of medieval towers, 19th century palaces, open-air markets, and ancient cathedrals, make Zagreb the perfect city to explore.

Pizza is really good and coctals too. Service is ok but you wait a bit. Prices are lower then in Split. Thank you for your review. We are happy you enjoyed our pizza/cocktails and hope you will come back soon as we will do our best to improve our service in the future.

Went there twice. Service is very good. Portions okay size. Pasta and rice is cooked al dente. We had black rissoto and black spaghetti with asparaghus and shrimp, it was delicious. Chocolate lava cake with ice cream for dessert was awsome. Prices could be a bit lower. Nothing spectacular, but nice.

"Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique vie
Our family of four (two adults and two children) visited this lovely restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking a busy pedestrian street. Walked past earlier in the day and made reservations (recommend it) - service was very good, friendly and attentive. Menu offered a variety of special dishes and solid wine list - all reasonably priced. Would definitely return on future visits to Zagreb

You expect to get ripped off in Italy but even an Italian restaurant in Croatia is somehow allowed to add hidden charges and rip people off with extra 'sit-down' charges that are never listed. Had Minestrone soup which was very very ordinary and completely unlike any Italian Minestrone soup ever had. Was just like water and ended up being the most expensive bowl of soup in the world. Avoid.

A good combo! The pizza was good, service very friendly & helpful. Would recommend anytime! We had the margarita with buffalo mozzarella! Added som rucola! They obliged! Overall a good evening! The Zero Zero we found out had to do with the grading of the flour! Pizza base was really nice!

We went here on the recommendation of the Sheraton down the street and were not disappointed. The interior of this restaurant is interestingly decorated, the staff friendly and professional, the wines on offer of high quality and the food delicious. Be sure to try the dumplings.

Good pizza, fresh ingredients, fast service and they speak English. Very nice environment. We drink wine and beer recommended it by the waitress. You can choose between outdoor or indoor.
