By far, the best pizza I have ever had...anywhere. Wish there was a place like this near home. Thin crust, wood oven, great topping options. Went early on a Friday, soon after restaurant opened and before too many other customers arrived. Italian owner-chef operated. Good service.

After careful consideration I stumbled into this restaurant and was immediately greeted/served by the wait staff. I had the lasagna mixta and it was absolutely amazing, and only $18.000 COP, which is a great value compared to all the other restaurants around. I would highly recommend, as the pizza looked fantastic too!

We have tried numerous Italian restaurants at the City. None as La Ricotta to get the true flavors of the Italian cuisine. Amazing pasta, pizza and meat won't let you down. Besides great atmosphere, service and wine offer!

As a new resident here in Villa de Leyva, Iâm always in the look for good, not pricy, tasty food. Today I tried their Vegetarian Cannelloni in Béchamel sauce. Garlic breat and white wine!!! Right portion for me, Iâm not a heavy eater. Quiet atmosphere, good ambiance and fair price!

The vegetarian was great and filling. The Bolognese was bigger than the usual ones and both served streaming hot. The Bolognese one was a bit to "runny" in my opinion but tasted great.Why only four stars then? The dining room is without atmosphere and has the charm of a cafeteria. The cutlery is very flimsy and the knife cuts into your hand.We did not have pizzas but as far as I could see they came from a real wood fired oven.

Went here for dinner and ordered a large pizza with different toppings on each half. The pizza was excellent... tasty toppings and a nice thin crust. The staff was also very helpful in communicating with us when they couldn't understand our beginner Spanish (they spoke quite good English). The large pizza we got was about $47,000. The two of us ate the whole pizza (we were starving after a long hike), but three normal people with standard appetites could probably share the large pizza and be full. Give them a try.

Italian chefs from Florence have put together a much-needed good Italian restaurant in the historic yet vibrant town of Villa de Leyva. The restaurant business in this town has exploded in the past decade, but there are very few cozy restaurants with really good food made with great dedication. We were attended by the owners, who were really nice at explaining each dish with charm and good humor. We ordered Capresse de búfala (appetizer), which is a fresh and tasty choice that would calm our appetites a little and start up our senses for the great main dishes that followed: Tortelli de berenjena and Fettuccini pesto. Flavors and textures were well balanced, and freshness of pasta and sauces was a highlight. The sizes were just right for dinner. We would definitively come back to Florentia Ristorante!

We liked the pasta prepared in a Grana Padano cheese, both with chicken/bacon and vegetables. Kids liked the chicken in sauce, pasta bolognese was average. Servants are friendly, but we had to ask for pepper. Nice experience, except for the copycat music in the background. Very nice pasta.This is a very small restaurant like 15 minutes from VdL, but its worth the visit.We order pasta, spaghetti, it was delicious. There is not much variety on the menu so don´t expect several dishes, basically it´s a pasta restaurant, and a very good one at that. The Focaccia was good, the service was really good and friendly.Make a reservation before you go, as mentioned is a very small place. Some special dishes, prepared " Al Forno", are only available on long weekends. don´t be surprise when they tell you they don´t have them on a regular day.Really this is like going to some friends house to eat, nice place, nice food, totally recommended. Payments only in cash!Thank you very much, we really want to improve everyday, but with a beautiful family like you are, things are easier. Our recipes are very important to us, because each one means a lot, each one has stories of Giuseppe´s family. We have a little menu, because it is better to prepare a few dishes with high quality, than a huge menu. We never frezze nothing so we have to cook everyday, fresh, and with high quality.
