Sky Restaurant Fiore

This restaurant is well positioned to deliver an excellent view of the Inland Sea with your meal. However, due to an ill-conceived layout, relatively few seated guests actually are provided with a view that makes the most of the elevation. The service is reasonable and the food is ok, but this is far more by the numbers rather than delivered with passion. A place that ticks boxes on the surface but fails to live up to the potential afforded by the location.

Outstanding food, friendly service and a great atmosphere. We are veggies and although there wasn't an English menu the staff ensured that we were able to choose suitable dishes. The pastas and pizzas were so delicious and such good value that we visited the Spacca Napoli on three occasions during our stay in Takamatsu!

This is my new favourite pizza restaurant. It is possibly the best pizza I have ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot, all over the planet. It is authentic Napoli-style, from a wood-fired oven, with a light, crisp but chewy, smoky base made with local flour with a very small percentage of rye flour, or something similar. A generous layer of very tasty tomatoes means that the middle is soft and wet, as real pizza is meant to be. Then very sparse but high quality toppings and fresh mozzarella complete the absolutely perfect pizza. We also had the octopus salad which was delicious, with a variety of local herbs and vegetables creating a perfectly seasoned taste explosion. The Tiramisu could also not be faulted, not forgetting an very good wine list and excellent draft beer. The attentive and friendly staff topped off a wonderful meal. I might have to fly back to Takamatsu just for this place, interspersed with Sanuki Udon of course.
