Dined here with a group. The restaurant was accommodating and friendly while making the booking. Willing to work with large parties (10-12 dinners). During the week a prix fixe menu and ala carte menu is offered along with several specials.I chose the prix fixe with the spring salad (excellent combination of fresh ingredients with a light dressing) and the tagliatelle. The pasta was excellent but the ragu was very ordinary and a not very complex flavor. My fellow dinners ordered the steak special or the flat iron steak. I tried one of the steak dishes and it was excellent, perfectly seasoned and cooked just a bit more than rare, as requested. Everyone who ordered the beef was pleased with the presentation and quality of the meat. For dessert I chose a lemon tart. The crust was very good, an all-American pie crust with an excellent lemon filing. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is at the far end of a strip development. There is adequate parking. Location is a bit tricky if you are not from the area, but google maps for this location is excellent.

LOVED Café Alaia! Stumbled across this gem while shopping with my daughter. It's really a great spot. The menu wasn't large -- but the selection was great. We chose to go light -- ordered a salad which was great paired with a tagliatelli bolgonese. Portions were perfect for sharing (we are not big eaters). Had an awesome glass of Pinot Grigio which we really enjoyed. Ended our perfect meal with a great cappuccino. While we do not live local -- this is definitely a place that we will come back to. It had a Manhattan feel but we were able to park right outside :). Service was excellent, diners all looked pleased. Café Alaia has figured out how to do Italian dining right in Scarsdale! Restaurant is small, so be sure to have a reservation. A definitely MUST to try for a fine dining experience!

I have eaten at this Excellent Italian restaurant numerous times and have never been disappointed. There is metered parking in the area. The restaurant does take reservations. The main theme is Italian food. The steaks are also excellent. Great atmosphere, especially try and attend during the Christmas season. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The menu is very extensive and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. If you are in a rush this is not the restaurant for you. Fine dining that I would definitely recommend

Tried this place for an early dinner for the first time and had a very good experience. It is an upscale Italian restaurant located right near the Scarsdale Metro North train station. It has a fine dining feel (and prices to match), but is populated with locals and regulars so it has a neighborhood feel. The service was very good, they had many staff working even though it's a relatively small place and it filled up as we moved into dinner service. If you're going during peak times, a reservation is probably a good idea.PROS: Service was very good - they were attentive and knowledgable. We had their Pizza of the Day ($15) as an appetizer (it changes, so ask), which was Margarita, a very thin crust rectangle cut into triangular wedges and served to us upon arrival. The crust was crisp but chewy and not burnt, the sauce was good and the ratio of cheese and sauce to bread was perfect. It was very good and we would totally have it again. My bf had the Vitello Martini ($26) - Veal scallopine w/crispy parmigiano crust, white wine, lemon sauce over French beans and said it was delicious. I had the Paglia e Fieno ($22) - Homemade green and white fettuccine w/peas, mushrooms and a touch of cream sans the prosciutto. It was very good. CONS: We shared a side of Patate al Forno ($9) - Roasted potatoes w/rosemary herb. There was no rosemary herbs on it at all and the roasted potatoes were very dry. We asked that they add some fresh parmesan cheese on top while they added some to my pasta and it helped somewhat, but we would not order them again.Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much and though not cheap by any means, we would return in the future.

We went here for Restaurant Week and were very pleased with our meals and service. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food choices were plentiful. Most places have a very limited menu for "the week" but Tutal Bella had a special menu of about 6 pages. Many/ most of the regular meals were available for the fixed price. I had the classic cold antipasto and WOW...it was the size of a large dinner plate complete with a beautiful assortment of meats, cheeses and vegetables. I was amazed that this was available for restaurant week. There were 6 of us so I will leave it at we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and pastas.Ddessert was better than usual for an Italian place too! Would certainly go back even though it was a 30 minute ride for us.Cons: a bit noisy

After a hectic weekend running around and too many things to do, this is a great place to come, enjoy a drink and have a great meal with family or friends. We had 2 prix frize dinners and 2 entrees, all were excellent. We ordered the shrimp skewers, Caesar salad, meatballs, salmon, risotto, baked chicken, and hangar steak. We ended with a brownie and bread pudding. The prices are reasonable, the food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. The entrees were slightly slow to arrive but there was a large party happening at the same time which probably explains why. We will go back! Thanks for a happy end to the weekend! We are so happy to hear that you found us very accommodating . Our highest priority is to make sure your experience is as comfortable and delicious. We are looking forward to your next visit.Best,Linda

My wife, daughter and I had Mother’s Day dinner at Gigante Restaurant & Bar yesterday evening and it was absolutely wonderful. -Service: From the very beginning with the valet parking to the very end when picked up our coats from the hostess the service was superb.-Decor/Ambiance: The place is filled with nice vibes. I would describe the décor as a casual approach to “modern nouveau elegance” (if there is such a description). A wide variety of spacious seating arrangements face onto a really striking bar, and there is a really neat private dining area to the rear. Really cool artwork is displayed throughout the restaurant and private dining areas. Unfortunately the weather was really bad so we could not take advantage of the outdoor seating with the beautiful fire pits that complement the indoor seating.-Food: In a word… Scrumptious! The restaurant is categorized as an “Italian” eatery. While there were quite a few Italian dishes on the menu (I must give a shot out to the Mozzarella en Carrozza…unique and outrageously good!), there was also a nice selection of other types of selections including a couple of really great Asian Fusion type dishes (I had the Rock Shrimp Tempura as an appetizer and the Beef Tenderloin Kung Pao as an entrée (the sauce for the shrimp tempura was amazing and the stir fried vegetables in the beef tenderloin absolutely succulent). My wife is still ranting about the flavor and texture of the Beef Short Ribs.Near the end our dinner the maître de came over and chatted with us about our dining experience. When we raved about the quality of the food the maître de asked us if we would like to meet Chef Samuel Kim. This turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening. At a new establishment like Gigante I would have expected these guys to give us the stereotypic marketing speil about how great the place is. Instead, both gentlemen were extremely genuine and cordial, and it was obvious that they both are extremely passionate about their professions. For my family, their passion (and that of all of the staff at Gigante) was manifest in a truly wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back. This is a must for those in search of a great dining experience.
