What an amazing find. Honestly the best meal in Pompei the food was amazing and the level of service from Andreas was complete perfection.The wine was delicious and the care and attention to detail with all of the food was outstanding. Watching the chef prepare each course with fantastic ingredients was a real treat. Everyone here cares about the quality of the food and we were treated like absolute royalty. The food was also the most delicious we experienced during our time in Pompei with everything being freshly prepared.10/10Thank you so much to all the team xxx

What a incredible restaurant Garum is !! The whole experience was outstanding, the food is very tasty, we had octopus carpaccio with roasted nuts and shrimp with mozzarella as antipasti. The ingredients are simple and fresh and yet the chef created little magic ! We chose to share the primi piatti of the day, it was ravioli with basilicum and a cheese of which I do not remember the name, again delicious. My boyfriend and myself took each a secondari piatti, meat for him and plate of the day for me, it was sea bass. We were amazed and impressed once again. Finally the waiter, a very kind man, understood the discovery mood we were in and proposed us to choose the desserts for us. He came back with desserts made by a bakery from Pompeii (Gabbiano), we had a big âRocherâ and âmousse de cafeâ, what a delight for the sweet tooth and non-sweet tooth. My boyfriend being not a dessert person, asked a third dessert. The wine card is very big and diverse, we both had the wine of the house - white & red - according to the course. Finally, the service was perfect, we had one kind man taking care of our table from our arrival. He was very thoughtful and professional. Thank you Garum for the exceptional experience !

I have come here on several occasions and the food is excellent and is always a good meal. It is right by the Pompei Central station and the center of town .The steaks are excellent and high quality meats. I have had their pizza which is also amazingly scrumptious. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice on not so hot days to be outside with a little breeze.Service is excellent. I would say it is one of the best restaurants in Pompei I have eaten at.So if you are in the area come to this restaurant if you want a good meal .Dear Melissa,thanks for choosing us. My general impression of the modern city of Pompeii and itâs neighbour, Scafati, is that they are dirty and crumbling â little of no effort is being put into improving the appearance, or fixing the infrastructure in either town However, amidst the crumbling buildings and trashy streets is this welcome gem. Brick Lane I.E. is along the Scafati section of the main road Corso Nazzionale that runs through Scafati and Pompeii â and like many shops along this stretch, you donât know itâs there until they roll up the metal blinds, other than a small overhead sign. But once inside and with a menu in hand, you can see why it gets busy with tourists and locals alike â a dozen or more locals were gathering for a big birthday party as we ate. Beer on tap includes a small number of mostly UK beers (I believe Brick Lane is a famous street in London), and the menu features a wide variety of burgers, something for every taste â and they were tasty, and reasonably priced when compared to similar fare in Rome. No hours are posted, but they opened at 7:30 pm on the Friday night we found them.

My husband and I went to this place for lunch, and the pasta was nothing short of phenomenal (possibly the best we've had in our entire trip). The staff were friendly and gave us an off the menu dish that blew us away. If you're after a cheap meal to make your day, look no further.

Driving through and was reading TripAdvisor comments and it didnât fail ... this place is delicious! I showed them a photo of a king crab pasta dish that wasnât on the menu and they made it for me ( we waiting a little longer, but worth it!!) We also had the seafood risotto - you wonât be disappointed.

We were refused our welcome drink by very unpleasant woman on till despite being told at reception that we could use our vouchers later after arriving. Suffice to say, we did not eat there again and spent our money somewhere else. In merito a quanto accaduto, ci teniamo a sottolineare che la nostra collega che si occupa della cassa del Varnelli Bistrot e Restaurant, non ha fatto nulla di sbagliato, anzi, ha cercato di gestire una situazione di incomprensione, cercando di spiegarle quanto accaduto. Al check-in di tutti gli Ospiti dell'Hotel del Sole, la reception offre agli Ospiti appena arrivati un welcome drink. Al momento in cui vengono consegnati i coupon ai clienti, viene specificato che la Direzione offre agli Ospiti una bevanda fresca di benvenuto, preparata direttamente dal nostro barman, e che basterà consegnare il coupon al bar, per ricevere il nostro drink di benvenuto. Ciò che è accaduto, è che, Lei ha pranzato nel nostro ristorante, e al momento in cui è andato a pagare il conto, voleva che da quest'ultimo fossero scalate le bevande, utilizzando i coupon del drink di benvenuto. La collega ha cercato di spiegarle che non fosse possibile, ma lei ha reagito molto male al rifiuto della mia collega, addirittura gettandole i coupon sul volto, in senso di disprezzo. Siamo certi che si fosse creato un malinteso, e che voi non avevate ben capito quale fosse l'utilizzo dei coupon di benvenuto, ma comunque sarebbe stato meglio cercare di ascoltare ciò che la collega stava cercando di spiegarvi. In ogni caso, speriamo comunque che il soggiorno presso l'Hotel del Sole sia stato gradito e che ne abbiate un buon ricordo. Vi aspettiamo al più presto di nuovo a Pompei per venire a scoprire le altre bellezze del nostro territorio, Cordiali saluti, La Direzione.

Almost missed this place as it sits at the edge of the area where most of the restaurants are. The service was very attentive and friendly. We stuck to the appetizers and pasta dishes, all were very good. A bit more creativity in the preparation and presentation than at most similarly-priced restaurants we've been to in Italy, while still maintaining the flavors that make Italian food so great.Thank you so much for the review.
