Things to do in Olevano Romano

We have been returning to Terremoto (Earthquake) at Genazzano for many years. It was a favoutie weekend lunch spot when we lived in Rome. The antica ostaria (and it IS very old) is famous throughout the region for simple Lazio style cooking. Simple but excellent! The carafe wines are also excellent and reasonable priced.Terremoto is perched at the edge of a precipice and overlooks vineyards and this extremely interesting an picturesque town.

Sergio makes the best pizze in town - tasteful and crispy. But the kitchen can also deliever some delicious Antipasta with local ingredients, such as Ventricina Olevanese. And also Secondi can be recommended for their great tastes. The Dolce with Millefoglie with crema Chantilly and the Semifreddo con Amaretto are great.Sergio has great wines and sometimes beer from speciel breweries.

Really friendly, welcoming restaurant, tucked away in beautiful little San Vito Romano. There was no menu, but the owner/chef made sure we had plenty to choose from and recommended us the absolutely fantastic Buffalo Ricotta and Prosciutto crudo. After a few starters we ordered three pizza's, but weren't able to finish them all, as our eyes were bigger than our tummies. The owner/chef provided us with a 'doggy-bag' (pizzabox) for us to take home. The next morning we had an early trek to Pompeii and devoured the pizza in the car and it was still quality! After the meal in the restaurant we were given Limoncello in small cups, which, just like the main crockery, was all hand-made.Plenty of space inside for large groups/families without taking over the whole place and still seating available for smaller groups.

Tutto molto bene: servizio attento e cortese, ottima cucina e giusto rapporto qualità -prezzo. In particolare abbiamo apprezzato cotolette di abbacchio davvero tenere e notevoli Che altro aggiungere? Merita.

We spent the day on a wine tour with ViniCultural Tours and we stopped at this local restaurant for lunch. We had two wonderful appetizers and shared three fantastic pasta dishes! This was one of the best meals we had during our trip to Italy. The mozzarella was so fresh and the flavor of the sauce on the fresh pasta was amazing. We really enjoyed going outside of the city of Rome for the day!
